Senior Rust Developer

Design and implement secure, scalable peer-to-peer networking protocols in Rust; develop distributed systems for decentralized AI nodes; ensure fault tolerance; integrate blockchain and protocol components; optimize performance for edge and cloud systems; and contribute to open-source projects and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance, secure, and scalable peer-to-peer networking protocols in Rust.
• Develop distributed systems that enable decentralized AI nodes to communicate and collaborate effectively.
• Ensure robust fault-tolerance and resilience in networked systems through testing and optimization.
• Collaborate with blockchain engineers, protocol developers, and AI researchers to integrate the network layer with Fortytwo's decentralized AI stack.
• Optimize performance for diverse computing environments, including edge devices and cloud systems.
• Contribute to open-source projects and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Rust development, focused on distributed systems or peer-to-peer networking.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, WebRTC, and libp2p.
• Experience building scalable and resilient distributed systems.
• Proficiency designing systems with security and fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with blockchain, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic techniques.
• Experience with WebAssembly and cross-platform Rust development.
• Familiarity with decentralized AI concepts and swarm intelligence.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
