Senior Backend Engineer/Architect at Appical, an employee-onboarding SaaS platform, owning core Ruby on Rails services and shaping the backend's modular architecture. Day to day: shipping in small increments, driving API and data-model changes, mentoring engineers, and upholding testing, observability, and CI/CD standards.
Appical, the onboarding platform, seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to own core Ruby on Rails services and shape the backend platform's evolution. You’ll ship value in small increments and align speed with reliability.
You’ll mentor engineers, drive API/data-model changes, and help craft a modular architecture as we scale. 6–10+ years in production software, ideally SaaS, and strong testing, observability, and CI/CD are essential.
