Senior research software engineer in Oxford's OxRSE group, embedded in the Physics department to build software and data pipelines for the Breakthrough Listen SETI project. Day-to-day work centers on Python/Django services, REST APIs, large databases, containers/Kubernetes and HPC, with later mentoring and project management.
Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: We seek candidates with a doctoral degree that includes significant software development, plus post-qualification research and software engineering experience; we will also consider candidates without a doctorate who have substantial software engineering experience in a research environment.
