Senior React Native Engineer - Driver App

About Nash

Logistics is the substrate beneath every economy that has ever existed, and it remains the least intelligently coordinated activity in the modern world. Consumer expectations are converging on instantaneous, perfect, free. Networks are not. We call this gap the Logistics Singularity, and closing it is the work.

Nash is the Autonomic Logistics OS. We unify decisioning, execution, and capacity into a single programmable system that pursues a business’s objectives continuously, adapts as conditions change, and runs the operation at equilibrium across orders, fleets, carriers, providers, and customers. The world’s largest retailers, grocers, and pharmacies (including Walmart, 7-Eleven, Woolworths, and Coles) run their critical workflows on Nash.

Founded by Mahmoud Ghulman and Aziz Alghunaim, and backed by Y Combinator, a16z, and other top investors. We are based in San Francisco.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to own and evolve Nash’s driver app. This is not a maintenance-only role — you’ll be shaping the future of a product that lives in the hands of real users in real delivery operations. We work with partners like Walmart, Woolworths, 7-Eleven, and Coles — and we’re just getting started. Mobile is a strategic frontier for us, and we’re investing deeply in the experience that matters most to the real world: the driver app used daily by fleets and drivers operating in the field.

You’ll be responsible for the technical roadmap, architecture, performance, UX, and reliability of the driver experience. This role demands a builder’s mindset, strong ownership, and a passion for shipping software that solves real-world complexity under challenging conditions (offline networks, old devices, long shifts).

As part of the Mobile / Product Engineering team, you’ll collaborate closely with product, backend, and operations teams — but this role also comes with real autonomy and influence.

What You’ll Do

• Take full ownership of the Nash React Native driver app used in live delivery operations.
• Architect and build mobile features that are performant, reliable, and delightful under real-world constraints.
• Design and iterate on critical mobile flows (jobs, navigation, scanning, status updates, offline resilience).
• Partner with Product on feature definition — influencing what gets built, not just how.
• Work with backend engineers on APIs, real-time updates, and overall system design that powers the mobile experience.
• Move features from idea → development → production → in-driver hands quickly.
• Raise the bar for mobile engineering standards across the company.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production mobile applications.
• Deep React Native expertise — you understand the tradeoffs and know how to navigate sharp edges.
• Experience building apps used by frontline workers, drivers, or other real-world operational audiences.*
• Strong product intuition — you care about UX, latency, resilience, error states, and edge cases.
• High agency: you notice what needs improvement and take action without waiting for instruction.
• A passion for craftsmanship — whether through side projects, open source, or building for fun.
• Comfort owning a critical surface area of the product from end to end.

*Bonus if you’ve shipped a driver app, delivery app, field operations app, or other frontline mobile product.

Why This Role Matters

This is a rare opportunity to own a product that directly touches the physical world. Unlike dashboard UIs or internal tooling, this app is used daily by drivers and operators — and arguably one of the most essential touchpoints of our platform.

If you like:

• Shipping quickly and seeing your work used in production
• Building software for real users solving real problems (not demos)
• Owning features end to end with autonomy

…this role will be incredibly rewarding.

Your work will influence how Nash scales globally and how our driver experience differentiates us in the market.

More About Nash

Nash is the platform that powers modern logistics.

Commerce has inverted. For decades, customers came to where products and services were. Now products and services come to them, on their terms, in real time. That shift has turned every company into a logistics company, even though almost none of them were built to be one. Couriers, fleets, gig workers, parcel carriers, in-store labor, and increasingly autonomous systems all have to be coordinated in real time, against tighter windows and rising expectations, with hard-fought customer trust on the line.

Nash unifies decisioning, execution, and capacity into a single programmable platform. Real-time, AI-native intelligence determines what should happen, operational control executes it, and the platform dynamically orchestrates capacity from any source: a company's own fleets, partners, or the Nash delivery network. Whether a job involves a courier, a gig driver, an internal fleet, a store employee, a technician, or an autonomous vehicle, Nash selects the right resource and manages execution through completion.

We power delivery and logistics for some of the most recognizable brands in commerce, including Walmart, Urban Outfitters, 7-Eleven, and Woolworths, alongside platforms like Shopify and Toast. Over the next decade, logistics will become as foundational to commerce as payments, cloud, and connectivity. Nash is the platform that powers it.

Nash was founded in 2021 by Mahmoud Ghulman (2x Founder, MIT) and Aziz Alghunaim (2x Founder, 2x YC, Ex-Palantir, MIT) and is backed by Y Combinator, a16z, and other top investors. We are headquartered in San Francisco.
