About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who thrives under pressure and is eager to solve complex problems. You should have at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with deep expertise in testing web and mobile applications. If you want to be on the front lines of building AI-driven solutions that push the boundaries of what technology can do, this is your opportunity. You'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform, identifying issues before they reach our customers, and working with the engineering team to deliver a flawless user experience. This is not a job for the faint-hearted—it's a chance to make an impact in a high-stakes startup environment. This is a full-time, in-office position located in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Responsibilities

Test and Validate Front-End and Back-End Systems: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality of front-end and back-end systems. You will perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing to guarantee every aspect of our platform meets high standards.

Automate Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for our web and mobile applications. Your goal is to ensure that repetitive tasks are automated to improve efficiency and allow the team to focus on exploratory testing.

Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with front-end and back-end engineers to identify, document, and resolve defects. You will have a key role in driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Ensure Product Quality: Advocate for quality at all stages of the development process. You will define acceptance criteria, review requirements, and provide input on product design and usability to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

Performance and Load Testing: Continuously monitor and test the performance of our systems. You will identify bottlenecks, provide recommendations for improvement, and work with the team to ensure the platform is always operating at peak efficiency.

Create and Maintain Documentation: Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results. Documentation should be thorough to ensure repeatability and transparency.

Mentor Team Members: Support and elevate junior QA engineers by providing hands-on guidance, conducting thorough test plan reviews, and fostering a culture of learning. We're looking for leaders who set high standards and pull others up with them.

Requirements

Mandatory Experience:

At least 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, specifically in SaaS or artificial intelligence applications.
Strong proficiency in testing web and mobile applications.
This is an in-person position. You will work full-time out of our office in Lehi, Utah.

Technical Proficiency:

Proven experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
Strong knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
Deep familiarity with performance and load testing frameworks.
Expert in version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and bug reporting.

Problem Solving and Ownership:

Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. You need to be comfortable diving into the unknown, solving complex problems, and owning your solutions end-to-end.
Ability to take full ownership of testing features and see them through from concept to deployment. If you're the kind of person who gets things done and takes initiative, you'll fit right in.

Leadership:

Experience mentoring junior QA engineers and leading technical discussions. You should be comfortable setting high expectations, giving constructive feedback, and raising the bar for everyone on the team.
Ability to establish and enforce testing standards. We care deeply about the quality of our platform, and you should too.

Agile & Scrum Experience:

Strong experience working in Scrum and Agile frameworks. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
Active participation in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. We want people who contribute and aren't afraid to speak up.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and help guide the team toward successful, on-time deliveries.

Core Values Alignment

We value creativity, collaboration, and excellence in every aspect of our work. We want people who are passionate about solving challenging problems, have a relentless drive for success, and are eager to contribute to the growth of the company. If you're not committed to pushing yourself and your teammates, this is not the right place for you.

Work Authorization

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and available to work full-time in-office. Visa sponsorship available.

Benefits

Competitive pay and equity options—but this isn't just about the money; it's about building something incredible.
Comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance. We take care of our team.
Professional growth opportunities in a demanding, high-stakes startup environment. This isn't a place where you'll coast—it's where you'll grow faster than you thought possible.
Be part of a team that is transforming the future of sales technology at Sameday.AI. You will work on cutting-edge AI technology and make a real impact in the home services industry.
