We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong backend engineering expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. The role requires deep experience in Python, API development, database optimisation, cloud-native technologies, concurrency, and distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about building robust backend platforms and will play a key role in developing reliable services that support next-generation, AI-driven products.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python 3.x.
- Build high-performance RESTful APIs using FastAPI and/or Flask.
- Design scalable database schemas and optimise database performance.
- Develop efficient data-access layers using SQLAlchemy ORM, including session management and transaction handling.
- Build thread-safe, concurrent, asynchronous, and high-throughput backend applications.
- Implement robust microservices and distributed backend architectures.
- Containerise applications using Docker and deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes.
- Deploy and operate backend applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and maintain API specifications and documentation using OpenAPI and Swagger.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, reliability, security, and resource utilisation.
- Identify and resolve complex production issues through debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Write clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code following established engineering practices.
