Senior Project Manager - Residential in London

Senior Project Manager - Construction Consultancy

Location: London | Public Sector, Residential & Education | Excellent Career Progression

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a role where you can take ownership of exciting projects, broaden your experience and genuinely progress your career?

I'm working with an established and highly regarded construction consultancy in London looking to appoint a talented Senior Project Manager to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that invests in its people, offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects and provides a clear route for career progression.

The projects are predominantly within the public sector, including residential and education, offering the opportunity to deliver meaningful schemes that make a real difference to local communities.

What makes this opportunity particularly attractive is the flexibility to shape your career development. Whether you're looking to strengthen your technical expertise, gain greater client exposure, develop your leadership skills or progress towards Associate level, the business can provide the opportunities and support to help you get there.

The Opportunity

You'll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, taking responsibility for delivering projects from inception through to completion.
Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered successfully, managing programme, cost, quality and stakeholder expectations throughout.
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the delivery of construction projects across the public sector, particularly residential and education.
Managing projects from feasibility and design through procurement, construction and handover.
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
Managing project programmes, budgets, risks and reporting.
Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and contractors.
Overseeing procurement strategies, tender processes and contractor appointments.
Managing project governance, stakeholder engagement and reporting requirements.
Identifying and resolving project risks and challenges to maintain successful delivery.
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.
Contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

What I'm Looking For

I'm keen to speak with Senior Project Managers who have a strong construction consultancy background and experience delivering projects across the property sector.
Ideally, you'll bring:

Experience working within a construction or multidisciplinary consultancy.
A proven track record of delivering construction projects from inception to completion.
Experience within the public sector, particularly residential and/or education projects.
Strong knowledge of construction procurement, contracts and project delivery.
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
The confidence to lead projects independently and manage multidisciplinary teams.
Relevant degree qualification in Construction Project Management, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
MRICS, MAPM or working towards professional accreditation would be advantageous.
A proactive, commercially aware approach and genuine ambition to develop your career.
You don't need to have experience across every sector. A strong foundation in construction project management, excellent client-facing skills and the ambition to progress are equally important.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a business where your career development won't be limited by a rigid structure or lack of opportunity.
You'll benefit from:

Genuine career progression - a clear opportunity to develop towards Associate level and beyond, with support to progress at pace.
Variety of projects - exposure to a diverse portfolio of public sector schemes, including residential and education.
Tailored professional development - opportunities to strengthen areas of your experience, whether technical, commercial, leadership or client-facing.
Greater responsibility and autonomy - the chance to take ownership of projects and make a meaningful contribution.
Supportive leadership - work alongside experienced professionals who are invested in helping you develop.
Meaningful projects - play a key role in delivering schemes that contribute to local communities.
Long-term career opportunities - join an established, growing consultancy where you can build your future.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who enjoys variety, wants to continue developing and is looking for a business that will recognise their potential and provide the opportunities to progress.
