Job Description

Senior Product Manager, Device OS – Appliances

Build the platform behind thousands of intelligent devices.

Are you a technically minded Product Manager who enjoys solving complex platform challenges at scale? This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical technology platform that enables thousands of intelligent devices to be deployed, managed, monitored, updated and operated reliably across customer environments.

If you’re looking for a role where you can shape product strategy, work closely with engineering and influence the future of a growing technology platform, this could be an exciting next step.

The Role

As Senior Product Manager, Device OS – Appliances, you’ll own the strategy and roadmap for the Appliance Platform — the foundational software and infrastructure that every appliance and application depends on.

You’ll be responsible for the full appliance lifecycle, from provisioning and configuration through to monitoring, updates, security and decommissioning.

Working closely with Engineering, Robotics, Infrastructure, Operations, Design and Customer teams, you’ll translate complex technical challenges and customer needs into a clear product vision and roadmap.

This is a highly strategic and technical product role, with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape how the platform scales and evolves.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, vision and roadmap for the Appliance Platform.
• Lead the development of capabilities covering provisioning, configuration, software and firmware updates, version management and decommissioning.
• Drive improvements across fleet health, monitoring, uptime, diagnostics, remote management and alerting.
• Own platform capabilities including connectivity, edge services, hardware abstraction, observability and resilience.
• Develop intuitive operator experiences, including dashboards, configuration tools, reporting and diagnostics.
• Translate customer and internal stakeholder feedback into clear product requirements and priorities.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Robotics, Infrastructure, Design, Operations and Customer teams to deliver the roadmap.
• Balance customer requirements with long-term platform investment, scalability, security and operational reliability.
• Define and track product success through metrics including uptime, provisioning times, update success, MTTD/MTTR and remote resolution rates.
• Build a scalable platform that can support future appliances and applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in Product Management, ideally within technical or platform-focused products.
• Experience working with infrastructure, enterprise software, IoT, edge computing, cloud platforms or operating systems.
• Strong technical aptitude and confidence working closely with engineering teams.
• Experience managing complex products and translating technical challenges into clear product strategies.
• Strong understanding of product discovery, prioritisation, roadmap development and delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A track record of making effective product and commercial trade-offs.

Desirable Experience

• Robotics, industrial automation or connected devices.
• Fleet management, edge computing, networking or distributed systems.
• Enterprise SaaS products.

What's in it for You?

• Significant product ownership over a critical technology platform.
• The opportunity to shape the long-term strategy and roadmap of an evolving Device OS ecosystem.
• Work alongside highly technical teams across Engineering, Robotics, Infrastructure and Operations.
• Solve complex product challenges involving connected devices, infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Make a measurable impact on the reliability, scalability and operability of thousands of devices.
• Help build the platform that enables future products and applications.
• A role with genuine scope to influence technology, product direction and business growth.

If you're an experienced Product Manager who enjoys owning complex technical platforms and solving problems at scale, we'd love to hear from you.
