Senior Product Manager – Remote, Contract

Senior Product Manager – Remote, Contract

About Bold Commerce

Bold Commerce is a leading ecommerce technology company helping merchants grow, scale, and succeed online. For over a decade, we’ve built innovative, user-friendly solutions that help merchants create better shopping experiences, grow revenue, and build customer loyalty.

rePete is our latest innovation, designed to increase customer lifetime value without increasing churn. It learns each customer’s real purchase rhythm and delivers perfectly timed reorder nudges, with no rigid schedules and no forced commitments.

At Bold, we combine technology with deep merchant insights to build products that solve real problems and drive meaningful growth.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us on a 12 to 18 month contract and drive the success of rePete, an exciting new product and a key part of Bold’s next stage of growth.

We do Product Management a little differently at Bold. Internally, we think of our Product Managers as Product Runners. They don’t just decide what should be built and hand it off to the team. They take ownership of moving the product forward. That means staying close to customers, having a strong point of view on what matters, making decisions, and getting hands-on to turn ideas into outcomes. Whether that means digging into data, talking to customers, prototyping with AI, testing an idea, or jumping in to remove a blocker, our Product Runners do what’s needed to help the product succeed.

We move fast and operate with a startup mentality. You’ll balance customer needs, commercial opportunities, and technical realities to make good decisions quickly. Priorities will change as we learn, everyone pitches in, and you’ll need to be comfortable getting your hands dirty and doing what it takes to move the product forward.

What you'll do

• Own product direction and priorities for rePete, keeping the team focused on the opportunities that will create the greatest customer and business impact.
• Stay deeply connected to customers, understanding their problems, behaviours, and needs through direct conversations and insights from Sales, Onboarding, Support, Marketing, and others across the business.
• Turn customer insights, data, market opportunities, and business context into a clear point of view on what we should build and why.
• Make thoughtful trade-offs and decisions, balancing customer needs, business impact, effort, and technical realities.
• Turn ideas and customer problems into tangible solutions, using prototypes, designs, experiments, and whatever else helps us learn and move faster.
• Create alignment across founders, executives, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders while keeping decisions and execution moving.
• Identify blockers, create urgency, and follow through to ensure the things we decide to do actually get done.
• Use AI as a core part of how you work, leveraging tools like Claude, Lovable, Figma, and Gemini to explore ideas, prototype solutions, accelerate learning, and help us build and iterate faster.

What we're looking for

• Strong product judgment and the confidence to develop and communicate a clear point of view, even when there are lots of opinions in the room.
• Deep customer curiosity and a desire to understand the problem behind what customers are asking for.
• Commercial instincts and an understanding of how product decisions can influence adoption, retention, revenue, and growth.
• A builder mentality. You’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and doing the work as you are setting direction.
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to separate what’s interesting from what will actually have an impact.
• The ability to influence and create alignment across technical teams, business leaders, founders, and executives without relying on formal authority.
• Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, moving quickly, learning, and adjusting as you go.
• Someone who genuinely enjoys a startup environment that is fast moving, evolving, highly collaborative, and all hands on deck.
• Strong product design instincts and hands-on Figma experience, with the ability to take product ideas from concept to thoughtful, intuitive designs and iterate quickly.
• Comfortable using AI tools as part of your everyday work and excited about finding new ways to use AI to think, build, learn, and execute faster.
• Experience in SaaS, ecommerce, product-led growth, or another fast-moving technology environment is an asset.
