The Opportunity
Join us as a Product Manager and lead the strategy and rollout of our award winning, cloud native geospatial intelligence platform, the engine that connects our changing planetary systems with the economic assets that depend on them.
The world is facing a profound shift. Forward looking companies now understand that climate change is not only about carbon reduction, it is about surviving and thriving amidst macro chaos: ecosystem loss, water scarcity, extreme weather, and energy and geopolitical instability. The interconnectivity of planetary systems is now a core factor in business growth and resilience, and it is inherently place based.
You will not simply manage a backlog. You will orchestrate the convergence of Advisory, our deep domain expertise, and Solutions, our scalable technology, taking the bespoke, high level science we apply to complex client problems and crystallizing it into a world leading platform that delivers adaptation and resilience at scale. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be the bridge between our financial analysts, earth scientists, technical team, and go to market organization, defining what we build and why.
What You'll Do
- Define the long term vision for the platform and continue its journey from a data and model engine into a scalable suite of Solutions that solve specific market problems such as supply chain resilience, asset vulnerability, and biodiversity exposure.
- Work closely with the Advisory team to identify high value patterns across client engagements, abstracting bespoke workflows, such as analyzing water stress on a manufacturing facility, into repeatable, automated platform features.
- Translate macro chaos into actionable user stories and customer personas, and validate market needs by engaging both internal stakeholders and external clients so the product answers the hardest questions executives are asking.
- Lead the product lifecycle in a fully Google Cloud environment, serving as the cross functional orchestrator who speaks the language of data engineers (BigQuery, Earth Engine) and financial analysts, ensuring technical execution aligns with commercial strategy.
- Partner with the executive team and Head of Go to Market to establish pricing structures, models, and quarterly and yearly forecasts.
- Work in close collaboration with Marketing to equip the sales and advisory teams with the narrative, content, sales materials, demos, and value propositions needed to sell the platform's solutions.
- Provide strategy and direction on the future web interface and advanced demo visualizations, focusing on complex, multidimensional data visualizations that enable executive and operational users to make million dollar business decisions.
What You'll Bring
Technical Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in B2B Data, FinTech, Climate Tech, or Analytics platforms.
- A demonstrated "Solutions" mindset, with experience in environments where Product and Services intersect, such as a technology enabled consulting firm or a startup moving from service delivery to SaaS.
- Technical fluency to discuss cloud infrastructure, technical strategy, and data pipelines with engineering leads, and to converse credibly with science and engineering teams to help guide technical decisions and paths forward.
- A genuine passion for sustainability, climate science, or economics, and real curiosity about the difference between "Net Zero" and "Adaptation and Resilience."
Professional English Communication:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex ideas and engage effectively with stakeholders across science, engineering, sales, and the executive team.
- A visual storyteller's instinct: you know data is useless if it is not communicated effectively, and you can turn complex analysis into a clear narrative.
Excellent Client Interaction Capabilities:
- The ability to translate complex scientific workflows into actionable user stories and to validate market needs through direct client engagement.
- A strategic synthesizer who can look at a complex scientific workflow and see the product hidden inside it.
- A ruthless prioritizer who knows how to say no to bespoke requests that do not scale, while still supporting the Advisory team's immediate needs.
What Sets You Apart
Optional Domain Experience:
- Experience in geospatial, remote sensing, or other scientific domains, including familiarity with raster and vector data. This is a strong plus, but a genuine willingness to learn the domain matters more to us.
Optional Technical Skills and Technologies:
- Experience leading product lifecycles in a 100% Google Cloud environment, leveraging tools like BigQuery and Earth Engine.
- Expertise in developing complex, multidimensional data visualizations for executive or operational decision making.
Previous Consulting Experience:
- A background in consulting, particularly in roles that required synthesizing complex or scientific workflows into scalable product solutions.
