About Charta Health
In an industry where the focus should rightly be on delivering quality care to patients, healthcare providers remain burdened by the complexities of non-clinical operations. Charta is changing that.
We're building the operating system for modern healthcare organizations. Our AI platform streamlines critical workflows across revenue cycle, clinical operations, and administrative functions, helping providers and payers operate more efficiently and deliver better patient care. Backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Charta is on a mission to make every healthcare dollar accountable and every chart accurate, reimagining healthcare infrastructure from the ground up.
About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own a product area end to end, shape where it goes next, and drive it forward. This is an execution-focused role for a senior PM who wants to own both the direction and the day-to-day work of shipping it.
You'll work closely with software engineers, deployment strategists, sales, and customers. You'll be the PM on the ground, setting direction for your area and then making it real: defining requirements, prioritizing ruthlessly, and partnering with deployment so that what we build for one customer becomes leverage for the next.
This role lives or dies on judgment: knowing which problems to solve once and scale, and which to skip. It takes someone who gets ahead of where the product is heading, owns the area, and cares enough to get the details right. That person is you.
What you'll do
We have a product motion that's working. The next phase is scale, and that's where this role lives: building the abstractions and systems that take our product from a handful of customers to hundreds, then thousands.
- Own a product area from requirements through launch and iteration
- Deeply understand the market: what customers need today and where it's heading next
- Build the map to get us there, and drive the team toward it
- Build the right abstractions so the product scales cleanly to hundreds and eventually thousands of customers, instead of bespoke work piling up
- Partner daily with engineering and deployment strategists to turn each customer build into durable, reusable product
- Turn customer needs into clear, prioritized specs
- Define and maintain the standards that keep engineering, deployment, and leadership aligned
- Make sharp prioritization calls and keep the team focused on the right things
What we're looking for
- 3–8 years in product management, or a closely related customer-facing technical role
- A track record of shipping — owning a product area and driving it to outcomes, not just strategy decks
- Proven ability to translate customer complexity into modular, reusable solutions
- Strong technical fluency to collaborate deeply with engineers on real system tradeoffs
- Clear communication and the judgment to prioritize well under ambiguity
- Bias for action and ownership; thrives in ambiguity and drives clarity through structured thinking
You'd be a great fit if you
- Do the work. You're energized by the day-to-day craft of product, not just the vision.
- Turn ambiguity into clarity. You translate customer signals into clear direction and prioritize what matters.
- Build systems. You think in systems and abstractions, not one-offs, and design for leverage that scales across customers and teams.
- Partner well. You navigate technical and strategic discussions across engineering, deployment, and GTM with confidence.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and more
- Team dinners and snacks in the office to keep you at your best
- Growth opportunities in a fast-paced, innovative tech startup
- Ongoing professional development and access to cutting-edge AI and healthcare tools
- Wellness & learning stipends so you can invest in both your health and personal growth
- Lively in-person (required 5 days per week) work culture at our headquarters in downtown San Francisco or in our NYC office
- $200,000 - $250,000 depending on experience + equity + benefits
- Annual performance based bonus up to 30%
At Charta, we believe great products begin with great people. You'll be trusted with real ownership and given the autonomy and tools to succeed. If you're excited about healthcare, software, and making complex systems work for people, we'd love to meet you.
