Senior Product Manager

About Anchor: Service businesses — accounting and bookkeeping firms, agencies, IT providers, HR consultancies — lose absurd amounts of time and money between "the client said yes" and "the money is in the bank." Anchor closes that entire loop: a proposal becomes a signed agreement, the agreement drives billing automatically, payments collect themselves, and everything reconciles into the accounting stack. Customers describe it as taking a genuinely complex domain and making it disappear — 4.9/5 on G2, based on 122 reviews.

The model has a built-in growth loop: clients who sign proposals on Anchor become service providers who send their own. We grow through PLG and sales together, and with annual logo churn as low as ours, the work you ship compounds instead of refilling a leaky bucket. We're backed by Oren Zeev, Entrée Capital, Mosaic, and others.

Who we are: A team that prizes big hearts, low egos, and fast learning. Humble is a requirement here, not a nicety — the product is loved because we listen better than we talk.

About the role: You own the product. Not a squad, not a surface — the roadmap for the whole platform.

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager who moves the needle. Someone who thinks big, challenges assumptions, and brings bold, out-of-the-box features that truly elevate the product. We’re looking for a builder who sees the full picture and knows how to turn vision into meaningful impact at scale.

Input comes at you from everywhere: CS, Support, Sales, Marketing, the CEO, the CTO, the data, and above all, customers. Your job is to turn all of it into a prioritized roadmap our ~15-person engineering team ships — and then to own what happens after: adoption, impact, iteration. You'll work directly with the CEO and CTO. [You'll be our first dedicated PM / the senior-most product owner]

Responsibility

• Sit with customers — bookkeepers, agency owners, IT providers — map how money really moves through their firms, and turn that into a product.
• Run the roadmap: intake from every team, ruthless prioritization, tradeoffs made explicit — including telling the CEO "not this quarter," with reasons. Translate insights and push initiatives forward end-to-end - from idea to release and adoption.
• Write specs that engineers respect: enough clarity to build from, enough room to push back on. Maintain and prioritize a dynamic roadmap based on impact, effort, and strategic goals.
• Pull your own data, define success metrics before launch, and kill the things that don't work.
• Ship AI features in a domain where being wrong has a cost — and design for that: confidence thresholds, review loops, easy undo.

Requirements

• You’ve led a team of product managers — set their direction, grew them, and owned a whole product’s outcomes through them — on top of years of hands-on PM work of your own.
• 6+ years in product, most of it in B2B SaaS, at least 4 in startup conditions.
• Hands-on with data: you pull your own numbers and form your own view. SQL is a plus; waiting on an analyst is a minus.
• Real personal AI practice — your own workflow has visibly changed — and ideally, you’ve shipped AI inside a product where errors cost something.
• You can learn an unglamorous domain deeply and explain it simply. Billing, payments, AR, accounting: our brand is making this complexity vanish, and that starts with the PM.
• Humility with a spine: you change your mind on evidence, own your misses out loud, and still hold the line when you’re right.

Strong advantage: background in fintech, billing, payments, AR/invoicing, or accounting integrations — or vertical SaaS for service SMBs.

Extra
