Surgo Health is building the Behavioral Intelligence layer for healthcare — revealing why people behave as they do, predicting what they will do next, and helping organizations make the decisions that change outcomes.
A Public Benefit Corporation grounded in two decades of global health experience, Surgo generates foundational behavioral data that reveals the unseen why and builds the AI products that powers decision-grade insights at population scale — equipping healthcare organizations, funders, and public agencies to act on what actually shapes health outcomes: people's beliefs, motivations, and barriers.
From predicting who will enroll and remain in a clinical trial, to understanding what drives treatment decisions, to designing more effective health programs, Surgo brings the missing human layer into decisions traditionally made with clinical data alone.
Backed by 40+ peer-reviewed publications and trusted by partners including the Gates Foundation, J&J, Takeda, Pivotal Ventures, and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Surgo is building a future where healthcare organizations don't just understand human behavior, but anticipate it — making healthcare more personal, precise, and effective for everyone.
We are hiring an experienced Senior Product Manager, AI & Data Products. This is the right role for you if you are passionate about building AI-driven products that tackle complex, real-world problems and turn data into decisions that matter. As Surgo Health scales its AI and behavioral intelligence platforms, you will play a critical role in defining product direction, owning the roadmap, and building core capabilities from the ground up in close partnership with company leadership, engineering, and data science. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll out products that shape how AI is responsibly applied in healthcare.
- Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for AI and data products that power Surgo’s behavioral intelligence platforms.
- Lead 0-to-1 and early-stage product initiatives, turning ambiguous problem spaces into clear product bets with measurable impact.
- Partner deeply with engineering and data science to bring machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics into production-grade products.
- Drive product discovery with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are grounded in real workflows and decisions.
- Design products where AI outputs are interpretable, trusted, and actionable, not just technically impressive.
- Own execution end to end, from framing the problem and defining success metrics through launch, iteration, and scaling.
- Help establish product best practices and raise the bar for how Surgo builds and evaluates AI-powered products as the company grows.
You are a strong product thinker who thrives in ambiguity and wants meaningful ownership over what gets built and why. You enjoy working close to the problem, close to the technology, and close to the customer.
You likely bring:
- A track record of owning and shipping complex software products in ambiguous or early-stage environments.
- Experience in product management, engineering, data science, analytics, or a related role, with at least 3+ years in a product-focused capacity.
- Strong technical fluency and comfort working closely with engineers and data scientists on AI, machine learning, or data-intensive systems.
- Proven ability to translate complex data and models into products that users understand and trust.
- Excellent product judgment and a bias toward outcomes, impact, and learning over process for its own sake.
- Clear and compelling communication skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared product vision.
- Preferred: experience in healthcare, life sciences, public health, or regulated industries, though deep curiosity and learning ability matter more than domain expertise.
You are motivated by impact and ownership. You want to help define how AI is used in healthcare, not just execute on someone else’s roadmap. You are excited by building foundational products that will scale with the company and shape its future.
