Senior Product Designer

About ResortPass

ResortPass is redefining what it means to be a hotel guest. We're building a new category in hospitality: day access to luxury hotel experiences — from breathtaking pools and private beaches to deluxe spas and wellness escapes — so people can escape without an overnight stay.

Our marketplace connects guests with 2,500+ partner hotels and resorts, including Hilton, Marriott, and Hyatt. We've helped millions of people enjoy premium hospitality close to home, making rest more mindful, togetherness more meaningful, and escape more accessible.

Backed by top consumer and growth investors including CRV, Declaration, Brian Kelly (The Points Guy), WME, and FJ Labs, ResortPass is scaling a product people love — and creating an entirely new way to experience hospitality.

About the Role

This is an incredibly rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a product that is already being used by millions. You will influence and execute a design vision across web and mobile, that helps consumers access unforgettable experiences at some of the finest hotels in the world. This isn't a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and cares deeply about craft and impact.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll report directly to the Head of Design and own the full design process — talking to users, defining problems, and crafting experiences that are both deeply considered and visually exceptional. You'll partner closely with product and engineering, champion the customer, and help set the bar for design quality as we bring a refreshed brand to life. This role demands both rigorous thinking and refined craft — the ability to understand what customers need and the skill to bring it to life in a way that feels premium and considered.

This role will be in person at our energetic NYC headquarters.

The base salary for this role will range from $160,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end design of key touchpoints in our consumer search and discovery experience — from homepage to search results to property and product pages
• Partner directly with product and engineering to define problems, align on priorities, and ship work that moves real metrics
• Run your own lightweight user research — recruit participants, conduct interviews, synthesize findings, and use them to inform design decisions and advocate for the right problems to solve
• Bring a high bar for visual craft to everything you ship — from typography and hierarchy to motion and detail, you'll help define what 'premium' looks and feels like at ResortPass
• Drive how we bring a refreshed brand to life across the product, elevating the visual and experiential quality of ResortPass
• Help evolve our design system and ensure consistency and accessibility across platforms
• Help shape the culture and process of a growing design team — your fingerprints will be on how we work, not just what we ship

Who You Are

• 3–6 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you ship. We want to see work where you navigated ambiguity, made meaningful tradeoffs, and helped users arrive somewhere with clarity and confidence
• Consumer product background, ideally in marketplace, search/discovery, travel, or experience-based products — you understand what it takes to help someone find and choose something they'll love
• You own research. There's no dedicated researcher here — you'll plan and run your own studies, talk directly to users, and use what you learn to make better decisions faster
• You're as comfortable breaking down a complex problem as you are sweating the details of a final design. The and the craft are inseparable for you.
• Strong communicator who can clearly articulate what you're solving, why, and what you tried along the way to arrive at the solution.
• Self-starter who unblocks themselves — you're comfortable operating with ambiguity and minimal process, and you know when to ask for help. You enjoy collaborating and receiving feedback but can also push work forward independently to deliver value quickly.
• Business-minded — you connect your design decisions to user needs and real outcomes, and you can speak to the impact of your work
• Curious and excited to experiment — you're energized by new ways of working, not intimidated by them. We use the latest AI tools (including Claude Code) and actively create space to experiment, prototype faster, and learn together. If you've been wanting an environment to try new things, this is it
• Growth-oriented — you see a small, collaborative team as an opportunity to fully own the design process, shape how design works as we scale, and take on real responsibility over time.

Why This Role

• You'll be joining a lean team of one with a real opportunity to help shape the design culture, process, and craft standards as we grow
• Work on a genuinely hard, interesting problem. Search and discovery for a marketplace where the product is a feeling, not a commodity
• Real ownership, there’s no rigid process, no waiting for approvals, no design-by-committee
• Play a key role in bringing a fresh brand to life, introducing a more premium, elevated visual identity into the product
• A team worth joining with leaders from Orchard, Harry's, Meetup, and Google, all building something new together in our Flatiron office (17th and 5th, near Union Square). We take advantage of in person time to learn from each other, collaborate and build quality experience, fast.
