Help fix customer-centricity at scale

Every company wants to become more customer-centric. At TheyDo, we make that ambition real. Our AI-powered journey management platform helps the world’s largest enterprises align around what matters most: their customers. By bringing scattered data and teams together, we empower smarter decisions and better experiences. Since 2019, global leaders across industries — including Ford, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, Siemens, Home Depot, and Lufthansa — have trusted us to scale journey management and deliver measurable impact.

Backed by $50M from top-tier investors, including Blossom and 20VC, we are building a category-defining company. Our fully remote team of 100+ TheyDoers represents 30+ nationalities across 27 countries, united by a customer-led, people-first culture.

Our mission is clear: Make journey management the most powerful business tool in the world.

If you’re looking for a place where your work shapes the future of how companies operate, join us. Let’s build it together.

Most AI features are a prompt box bolted onto an existing product. We're after something harder: AI that does real work inside a customer's journey, and that enterprise teams trust to do it. That trust is a design problem before it's an engineering one, and it's the problem we want you to own.

You'll be the designer on our Intelligence team, the group defining the next phase of TheyDo's agentic platform. We've built the foundations. Now the work is deepening how much value that AI creates within Journey Management. This is a role for someone who shapes what we build, not someone waiting for a spec to land on their desk.

Why this role, now

TheyDo is Journey Management: the platform where large organizations map their customers' end-to-end experience, agree on the right opportunities, and align teams around them. Our users are design-savvy CX and product professionals working inside complex enterprises.

AI is central to where the product goes next. We've laid the groundwork, and the next chapter is about making that intelligence a trusted, everyday collaborator in how our customers understand and improve their journeys. It's an open, fast-moving design space, and the shape of it isn't settled. That's why we're hiring someone to help define it.

What you'll define

You'll help set the direction for how people and AI work together inside TheyDo, and turn that direction into experiences we ship.

• The human–AI relationship. Design how our customers collaborate with AI inside a journey: where a person stays in the driver's seat, where the product can take more off their plate, and how that balance shifts as trust grows.

• Trust and control as craft. The moments where someone reviews, steers, approves, or reverses what the AI does are the heart of this work. They're the difference between AI that feels safe and AI that feels risky.

• New interaction patterns. Define how people express intent and get intelligent, dependable results in a space that mostly doesn't have established patterns yet, including the unglamorous parts: waiting, cost, and what happens when something comes back wrong.

• From capability to experience. Partner closely with PM, engineering, and research to understand what's newly possible, how fast that's changing, and how to turn it into something our users find genuinely useful.

• A coherent system. Establish the patterns that become part of TheyDo's design language as this area matures, so the rest of the product can build on them.

What you'll do

• Sit at the front of the roadmap: turn an ambiguous, fast-moving space into concrete bets, and make the case for them with prototypes rather than documents.

• Prototype constantly, including with AI. We're an AI-forward team, so using AI to move faster in your own craft is already how we work.

• Talk to users constantly: interviews, sales and customer success calls, and our design community, especially the practitioners betting their work on our product.

• Ship high-quality, end-to-end experiences and help evolve the design system as new patterns mature.

• Raise the bar beyond your own work and help establish how AI experience design is done here.

Who we're looking for

• A strong product designer with a portfolio that shows judgment on ambiguous, 0→1 problems, not just polished screens.

• Real fluency with AI first design process. You've designed and prototyped with modern models to generate concepts, which you translate into an embedded, thoughtful solutions in a product.

• Someone who ideates proactively. You go find the important problem and bring a point of view, rather than waiting for requirements to be handed over.

• A strong prototyper who makes things real instead of describing them, and who is comfortable being early, being wrong in public, and changing their mind quickly.

• Systems thinking: you can define a new interaction pattern, explain its consequences, and know when to break your own rules.

• Comfort with complexity and enterprise constraints. You treat trust, control, and scale as the interesting part of the problem.

• Experience with B2B or otherwise complex software. Familiarity with customer journeys, service design, or research practices is a real plus.

If you don't tick every box but this problem excites you, we'd still like to hear from you.
