Black Pearl Consult is hiring an Senior Procurement Specialist - Market Data Services (MDS)in Abu Dhabi to manage the procurement and commercial administration of Market Data Services, including financial-data subscriptions, vendor contracts, licensing, renewals and related expenditure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of Market Data Services and financial-information products.
- Handle vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv/LSEG, rating agencies, exchanges and similar service providers.
- Manage contracts, subscriptions, renewals, licences and vendor invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of market-data products, users, costs and contract terms.
- Use Optimize Spend or a similar platform to monitor inventory, usage and expenditure.
- Review subscriptions and identify unused, duplicated or unnecessary services.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and renewal conditions with vendors.
- Support cost-saving and spend-optimisation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with vendor licensing requirements and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, IT and relevant business teams.
- Prepare spend reports, renewal schedules and vendor-performance updates.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for market-data expenditure.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Approximately 8-10 years of relevant procurement experience.
- Strong, hands-on experience in Market Data Services procurement and vendor management.
- Experience managing Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv/LSEG, rating agencies, exchanges or similar providers.
- Good understanding of financial-data subscriptions, licensing models and usage rights.
- Experience managing contracts, renewals, vendor invoices and market-data spend.
- Hands-on knowledge of Optimize Spend or a similar MDS inventory and spend-management system.
- Strong commercial negotiation and cost-optimisation skills.
- Previous experience in financial services is strongly preferred.
- CIPS or an equivalent recognised procurement qualification is an advantage.
- Experience working with reputable, well-established organisations.
- Stable employment history with good tenure in previous roles.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management and analytical skills.
- Availability to join around the end of January or beginning of February.
