Senior Platform Engineer

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in platform, DevOps, or SRE roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Production experience with AWS
• Proficiency in Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools
• Scripting ability in Python or Go
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
• Applicants must not require sponsorship
• Experience with ArgoCD or Flux is desirable
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog is desirable
• Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 environments is desirable
• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS
• Own CI/CD pipelines and drive adoption of GitOps practices
• Build self-service tools that enable product teams to ship without platform bottlenecks
• Improve observability, incident response, and SLO tracking
• Lead infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform
• Champion security and cost optimisation across the platform
• Mentor a small team of engineers
