Senior PHP Developer

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver product features, from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Modernize and refactor existing functionality
• Optimize existing code and system performance
• Maintain application security and access control, authorization, permissions, and protection of sensitive data
• Build and maintain integrations with external data providers
• Implement AI-powered solutions within the product, integrating AI capabilities into existing workflows and systems
• Ensure financial data accuracy, including currencies, historical FX rates, calculations, decimal precision, and rounding
• Design and maintain batch processing and data flows, including reliable processing of large datasets and imports
• Plan and execute database schema migrations, ensuring data integrity and minimizing risk to production systems
• Build and maintain automated tests.
• Take ownership of delivered solutions, proactively identifying technical risks, proposing improvements, and ensuring
• that features remain reliable and maintainable in production.

Requirements

We are looking for a senior, highly independent engineer who knows how to use AI to ship high-quality software faster. This is not a role for someone who needs detailed task breakdowns or works exclusively in a traditional development workflow.

• Strong Laravel 10+ and PHP 8.2+ experience
• Hands-on experience working with AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge at an engineering level
• Experience with batch processing and ETL workflows
• Strong understanding of financial data accuracy
• Experience with Redis and caching strategies
• Strong testing practices
• High level of independence and ownership
• Experience with GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring
• AI-first engineering mindset
