Don't know Dock & Bay? You're missing out, because we're great (and humble). Quick intro:
Our founders, Andy (Head Poncho) and Ben (Towel Wizard of Oz), started Dock & Bay back in 2015, after sharing the same struggle of standard towels being too bulky for their backpacks while travelling. It's a hard knock life, eh?
Fast forward 8 years and we're a certified B Corp, with 100+ products across 8 categories, selling in the UK, Australia, the US, Canada and Europe. Our mission is to make the world brighter and we need your help (if you fit the job description, obviously).
We're on the list of UK's Best Places to Work in Retail, Best Places to Work for Development, Best Places to Work for Women, AND officially a Sunday Times Best Place to Work. So you KNOW we'll look after you.
🎯 THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Reporting to the Creative Lead (with a dotted line to the Head of Photography in Australia), our new Senior Photographer and Content Producer will be the driving force behind Dock & Bay’s UK visual output while our Head Photographer is on maternity leave.
Unlike junior roles, this position is about taking full ownership. You will be the principal photographer for the UK region leading shoots end-to-end, making confident creative decisions, and ensuring our colourful world is captured consistently across all key markets. While you'll be autonomous on the ground in London, you'll work in close, equal partnership with our AU photography team to share global responsibilities and bounce ideas around.
You’ll wear many hats and lead every step of the process: building comprehensive briefs, coordinating full-scale production, directing models on set, styling and ironing towels (always lots of towels!), filming video content, retouching imagery, and pioneering the use of AI tools to make our workflows smarter.
Because we are a global team, you’ll need some flexibility for cross-team meetings with Australia outside of regular UK office hours.
This is a senior role where high-level photography, exceptional production skills, retouching, and a fiercely creative eye are essential.
