Ready to own paid media strategy for some of the fastest-growing B2B companies?
If you can run a Google Ads account (LinkedIn and Meta, too) with precision, and guide conversations with conviction, composure and confidence, we want to talk to you.
We're looking for a Paid Media Strategist who can lead senior client conversations, turn campaign complexity into clear business recommendations, and confidently explain what matters, why it matters, and what should happen next.
Our mission at Powered by Search
We exist to make B2B companies unstoppable, doing work we love, with people we like, how we want. We are a global, fully remote team across 8+ countries.
We have a talented and diverse team that live by our core values:
- Always be in it to win it.
- Give a shit.
- Be obsessed with serving others.
- Practice a growth mindset.
- When we fail, don’t lose the lesson.
The opportunity
As a trusted advisor to fast-growing B2B companies, you'll join a high performing team rated 4.8/5 on Glassdoor, where 95% of team members recommend us. This is a client-facing strategic paid media role. You won't just build campaigns or ship reports. You will lead calls, set the agenda, guide clients toward decisions, and connect every dollar of spend to pipeline and revenue.
What sets you apart
- You lead senior client conversations with clarity, confidence, and commercial judgment
- You keep control of a call: set the agenda, handle pushback thoughtfully in the moment, land on decisions and next steps
- You report on the metrics the client's business runs on (demos, pipeline, revenue), never vanity metrics
- You translate campaign data into plain-language recommendations a CMO can act on
- You come to every conversation with a recommendation, not just a list of options
- You spot risks, opportunities, and blockers before the client has to ask
- You can deliver honest, sometimes difficult feedback in a way clients trust
- You respectfully coach up and teach clients at multiple levels, from Marketing Managers to CMOs
Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop paid media strategies aligned to each client's business goals and North Star Metric
- Own forecasting and budget pacing against quarterly and annual targets
- Lead monthly and quarterly reviews with senior stakeholders: results, tradeoffs, risks, next actions
- Steer client conversations toward decisions, priorities, and committed next steps
- Drive AI-assisted campaign strategy, creative testing, and measurement
Client Success
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 4-7 B2B clients as their primary strategic contact
- Build trust with senior marketing, demand gen, and executive stakeholders
- Run calls with confidence: set agendas, control the room, handle hard questions live
- Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations before the client asks
- Own follow-through so every conversation ends with clear actions, owners, and timelines
Technical Excellence
- Plan, launch, and optimize across Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Meta Ads
- Own conversion tracking integrity end to end (GA4, GTM, CRM); never launch without it
- Diagnose performance issues at the root: tracking, structure, bidding, creative, or demand
- Prioritize by business impact, effort, and implementation reality; QA everything before it ships
Required experience
- 3+ years hands-on B2B paid media, with at least 1 year in B2B SaaS
- Prior client-facing strategy role where you owned communication, not just execution
- Track record hitting MQL, SQL, or pipeline targets for B2B clients
- Direct responsibility for at least $50k in monthly ad spend across multiple accounts
- Google Ads depth plus at least one of LinkedIn, Meta, or Microsoft Ads
- Working command of GA4, GTM, and CRM attribution (HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Written and spoken communication skills strong enough to lead senior calls and defend recommendations under pressure
Perks & Benefits:
- This role is fully remote
- 5 weeks of paid time off
- We offer competitive compensation plus quarterly bonuses
- Flexible working hours (requires 4 overlap hours with 9am - 5pm EST)
- Paid training (school, events, conferences)
- *For full-time Canadian residents only - comprehensive health, dental, and eye care
This role may not be a fit if
- You prefer optimizing accounts without leading the client relationship
- You need someone else to turn your analysis into client-ready recommendations
- You lose the thread when a senior stakeholder challenges your numbers on a live call
- You report platform metrics (CTR, CPC, impressions) as results rather than business outcomes
- You prefer being handed tasks rather than owning outcomes, priorities, and follow-through
