About the Role
ROI Solutions is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to lead the strategy and evolution of our Oracle database environment. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you’ll combine deep Oracle expertise with a pragmatic approach to modernization, shaping architecture and technical standards while advancing performance, reliability, security, automation, observability, resiliency, and cloud adoption. You will collaborate with our Product Reliability and Security Engineering, Product, and Product Engineering teams, along with our managed services partner, to ensure ROI’s database platforms remain secure, scalable, and prepared for the future.
Who Thrives Here
- You take ownership. You identify issues and opportunities, establish priorities, and move important work forward in partnership with the broader organization.
- You think beyond today’s problem. Resolving an incident matters, but so does identifying why it happened and improving the architecture, tooling, or process so it is less likely to happen again.
- You set thoughtful standards. You understand that good technical governance should improve quality and reduce risk without unnecessarily slowing engineering teams.
- You communicate proactively. You make risks, tradeoffs, recommendations, and progress visible to colleagues and leadership.
- You teach, learn, and collaborate. Your success is measured not only by the difficult problems you solve personally, but also by the capabilities you help build across the organization.
- You automate. You look for opportunities to replace repetitive manual processes with reliable tooling, monitoring, and automation.
- You’re pragmatic about modernization. You understand that mature platforms cannot simply be replaced overnight. You can protect what works today while creating a better architecture for tomorrow.
- You think about organizational resilience. Good systems should not depend on one person knowing how everything works. You document, automate, teach, and build processes that make the entire organization stronger.
