Day to day this engineer configures, manages, and troubleshoots FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiSwitch: implementing firewall policies, routing, NAT, and VPN, monitoring network security infrastructure, resolving incidents, and documenting changes while coordinating with internal teams and customers.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate Firewalls.
- Administer and manage FortiManager for centralized firewall management.
- Configure and troubleshoot FortiSwitch devices and related network connectivity.
- Monitor network security infrastructure and identify potential issues.
- Perform incident troubleshooting and resolve network/security-related issues.
- Implement firewall policies, routing, NAT, VPN, and security configurations as required.
- Maintain proper documentation of configurations, changes, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers for issue resolution and operational activities.
- Follow security and change-management processes while implementing network changes.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Network Security / Network Administration.
- Good hands-on knowledge of FortiGate Firewall.
- Good knowledge of FortiManager.
- Good knowledge of FortiSwitch.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
- Willingness to work in a support/operations environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with technical teams.
- Fortinet NSE certification is an added advantage.
- CCNA certification is preferred.
