Senior MCAD Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer (Automotive)

Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced Expert MCAD Engineer to support an Automotive Compute project on a contract basis. The role focuses on mechanical design activities within the NX/Teamcenter environment and requires strong expertise in automotive product development, technical documentation, and release processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Independently develop and modify 3D CAD models in the NX/Teamcenter environment in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

• Prepare and optimize 3D models for thermal and structural analysis, as well as prototype manufacturing activities.

• Participate in the release process for technical documentation using Teamcenter and GES.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely completion of design deliverables.

• Support design reviews and the implementation of engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience using Siemens NX 11/NX 12.

• Proven experience in plastic part design and die-cast component design.

• Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T.

• Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing and technical documentation.

• Ability to work independently and manage assigned deliverables with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in the development of automotive electronic hardware products.

• Practical experience with Teamcenter.

• Experience with sheet metal design is considered an advantage.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong team collaboration skills and experience working in international engineering environments.
