Senior Marketing Designer

HoneyBook is the leading AI-powered business management platform for service-based business owners. Designed to enhance - not replace - independent professionals. HoneyBook’s AI-powered tools help businesses attract leads, connect with clients, book projects, and manage payments more efficiently. With AI seamlessly integrated into every workflow, entrepreneurs can focus on their craft while scaling their businesses with confidence. Since its founding in 2013, HoneyBook has powered over 25 million client relationships and processed more than $12 billion in transactions, helping independent businesses grow faster and smarter.

Our culture is built on five core values that inform everything we do. We encourage collaboration, feedback, ownership, and maintain a growth mindset. We know experience comes in many forms - some visible on your resume, others not. No one candidate will be a 100% perfect match to our description, so if you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually curious environment and have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.

Our Design org is a multi-disciplinary team of Product Design, Brand and Marketing Design, Motion Design, and User Research - all working cross-functionally toward one goal: give independents the tools they need to run and grow their business.

The role

We're looking for a Senior Marketing Designer to join our team. This is an end-to-end role - from campaign brief through concept, design, and launch. You'll work closely with marketing, growth, brand, and product to shape how HoneyBook shows up to the people running their own businesses - and to the customers we're trying to reach.

What you'll do

• Translate positioning and campaign strategy into design that's clear, distinctive, and on-brand across web, lifecycle, paid, and social.

• Own creative from brief to shipped asset - landing pages, launch campaigns, email, sales enablement, and brand moments.

• Rapidly prototype and test creative directions using Claude, Weave, Midjourney, Figma, and others to get real work in front of stakeholders and users fast.

• Partner with growth and lifecycle marketers to make design decisions that move real metrics - not just look good in a deck.

• Contribute beyond your own campaigns - to our visual system, our brand craft, and our design culture.

What we're looking for

6+ years designing and shipping marketing or brand work at meaningful scale, with outcomes you can speak to. Beyond experience, we hire for a specific type of designer:

• First-Principles Thinker. Questions the brief before a single pixel is pushed. Asks why this problem, why now, and what success actually looks like - then challenges any assumption that doesn't hold up.

• Strategic Storyteller. Connects business goals, audience insights, and positioning into clear, compelling creative. Understands that great marketing starts with the right story—not the right visual.

• Excellent Craft. Delivers work with exceptional attention to detail, strong art direction, and uncompromising quality. As AI makes execution increasingly accessible, exceptional craft is defined by judgment, taste, and knowing what is worth refining.

• Simplifier. Cuts before they add. In a world where AI makes it easy to generate more of everything, they find the one thing that matters and remove the rest.

The good stuff:

Mission-driven: You'll be joining more than just another startup. Our members’ success is at the heart of everything we do.

Impact: We move quickly and encourage every employee to push the envelope. Our best ideas come from out-of-the-box thinking and innovation; be ready to fail fast and often!

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and meaningful equity grants.

Benefits & perks: From wellness programs to exceptional family leave policies, the health and happiness of our employees are foremost.

Our core values:

People come first: We prioritize people as we explore opportunities and work through challenges.
Raise the bar: We push for greatness—for ourselves, each other, and our members.
Own it: Trust and ownership let us make decisions with confidence.
We love what we do: We bring passion to our work and love what we create for our members.
Keep it real: Authenticity, respect, and transparency are at our core.
