What are your contributions to the team?
- Participate in strategic meetings as a business partner for Bombardier’s operational teams;
- Draft agreements and support your internal clients in negotiations with suppliers;
- Act as a reliable and knowledgeable partner of choice to help elaborate and develop commercial and contractual strategies;
- Be asked to provide guidance and legal opinions on different contractual provisions and contract related issues which impacts Bombardier’s day-to-day relationships with its suppliers
- Be involved in claims management, including reviewing and negotiating settlement agreements;
- Proactively manage risk through training and coaching of your business partners, as well as through the creation and implementation of efficient contract governance processes; and
- Help to find and integrate best industry practices for negotiating and drafting aerospace procurement contracts.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation;
- Experience in the area of supply chain and procurement will be considered an asset;
- You are a member in good standing of a North American Bar for a minimum of 7 years. Training or experience in common law will be considered an asset;
- You have excellent drafting and communication skills, with the ability to work fluently in both French and English (spoken and written); Spanish is an asset.
- You have sound judgment, coupled with good business sense, allowing you to provide efficient and value-added advice and innovative solutions; and
- You have the ability to operate and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
