KOIA is a software development company working with Scandinavian partners to build products and technology that solve real business problems.
Our teams are small, experienced and highly collaborative. We value strong engineering, open technical discussions and people who are comfortable making decisions, challenging existing solutions and taking responsibility for their work. We work with a high level of trust and autonomy, without unnecessary hierarchy or micromanagement.
We care about both quality and speed. We prefer pragmatic solutions over unnecessary complexity and continuously improve the way we build software, including how we use AI and modern development tools to work faster and more effectively without lowering engineering standards.
We value people who enjoy solving difficult problems, sharing knowledge and working with other experienced engineers. You’ll have space to influence technical decisions, introduce improvements and shape how we build and evolve our products.
- Competitive Compensation: We believe good work deserves fair compensation. Perks are nice, but they don't replace respect, trust and competitive pay, so we focus on what actually matters.
€32–45/hour + VAT with paid days off, or a higher hourly rate without paid days off (B2B contract).
- Experienced, International Environment: Work closely with experienced engineers and partners on complex software products for the Scandinavian market.
- Autonomy and Engineering Culture: We value maturity, ownership and thoughtful technical discussions. We expect people to challenge ideas constructively, make decisions and take responsibility for the solutions they build, and we give them the autonomy to do so.
- Sustainable Life Concept: It is not only about work. We care about body, mind, and spirit. We care about sustainable productivity, reasonable workloads and giving people the space to do their best work over the long term.
- Self-Development Days: We care about your growth. We offer time, educational materials and mentorship opportunities.
- Fantastic Partners: You'll work directly with innovative companies in the Scandinavian fintech and climate-tech sectors, with real access to stakeholders and the opportunity to influence the products you help build.
By joining KOIA, you will become part of a successful team committed to creating meaningful solutions and promoting a healthy, fulfilling work environment.
Job Description
Join KOIA and work on a modern fintech platform built for the Scandinavian market. We are looking for a hands-on Senior/leading Angular developer (Angular + Django) to join a long-term project for our Norwegian client. We need an experienced engineer who can design, build and evolve scalable Angular applications, make complex technical and architectural decisions, and remain actively involved in development.
You will take technical ownership of the frontend architecture, working hands-on with Angular while collaborating across a Django/Python backend. You’ll help shape how the application evolves as the product and its complexity grow, while guiding engineering standards and supporting other experienced developers with technical direction.
Project
You will work on an Accounting Practice Management System, co-owned by three major accounting firms. Once fully onboarded, the platform will serve 5,000+ daily enterprise users.
The client’s engineering team is intentionally small (5-6 experienced developers) and focuses on building a better product than competitors with significantly larger engineering organizations. Their advantage comes from excellent engineering practices, pragmatic decision-making, and high-quality software.
