As a Senior Java Developer at Aventus Global in Dubai, UAE, you will take full ownership of designing, building, optimizing, and scaling production microservices within a high-throughput enterprise environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass developing clean, maintainable backend code in Java and Spring Boot, optimizing PostgreSQL schema designs, indexing, and complex query tuning, and implementing robust Redis caching strategies (TTL management, eviction policies, DB load reduction). You will lead production debugging sessions, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for operational incidents, execute rigorous unit and integration testing, and maintain automated CI/CD deployment pipelines. Working in a fast-paced onsite consulting environment offering a 6-month contract with immediate start, you will drive mission-critical backend performance and scalability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade Java and Spring Boot microservices within live production environments.
- Architect, implement, and fine-tune PostgreSQL databases, advanced schema designs, indexing strategies, and slow query tuning.
- Develop and execute robust Redis caching strategies, TTL management, eviction policies, and cache invalidation patterns to minimize database load.
- Lead performance optimization and scaling initiatives on live high-traffic systems with demonstrable, measurable results.
- Perform rigorous production debugging, fault isolation, and comprehensive root-cause analysis (RCA) for complex backend anomalies.
- Build and secure RESTful APIs, ensuring high concurrency, low latency, and adherence to enterprise security standards.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to maintain high code coverage and software quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional software architects, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders in Dubai, UAE.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, code reviews, technical spike investigations, and architectural refactoring sessions.
- Ensure strict adherence to CI/CD deployment automation, Git version control best practices, and enterprise coding standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8+ years of professional hands-on software development experience specializing in Java and Spring Boot microservices.
- Deep specialized expertise in PostgreSQL database administration, advanced schema design, indexing, and complex query performance tuning.
- Extensive practical experience implementing Redis caching architectures, TTL/eviction tuning, and database load reduction.
- Proven track record of scaling live production systems and achieving measurable performance optimization results.
- Strong troubleshooting proficiency in production debugging and structured root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Solid working knowledge of RESTful API design, unit/integration testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
