Senior Java developer to build next-generation Android and mobile web solutions for a travel technology platform, formulating technical solutions with clients, suppliers and partners. Core stack includes JEE, Spring and MySQL, with 5-10 years' post-graduation experience and a relevant BSc/MSc required.
- To work on a leading edge mobile travel platform to develop the next generation of Mobile Weband Downloadable On-handset solutions
- Formulate innovative technical solutions to business problems
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, partners and co-workers to specify optimal solutions
- Propose enhancements to the existing platform and have the opportunity to explore emergingtechnologies through R&D initiatives from time to time.
Experience of some or all of the following skills is highly desirable:
- Application stack – JEE, Spring, MySQL and other associated technologies
- Android, iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry development
- Web UI technologies
- Good understanding of usability principles, particularly as applied to mobile devices
- Discipline of working within a unit-test environment
Potential candidates must:
- Have a minimum of 5 - 10 years (post-graduation) experience working in a related technology environment
- Have a passion for technology and demonstrate willingness to learn and share new skills
- Enjoy working in a very fast paced environment and be able to handle multiple responsibilities
- Display high standards, good attention to detail and a methodological work process
- Have an ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
Academic/Educational Qualifications:
- 2.1 (or higher) BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
