Senior IoT Services Manager

Trackunit is a fast-growing company and a leading supplier of IoT solutions, operating out of many offices worldwide. Trackunit specializes in digital solutions that connect machines, people, and systems in the global construction industry. The construction industry is the least digitalized industry of all. This lack of digitalization has left construction far behind a global economy on the rise and placed the industry as one of the least productive industries too.

We are looking for... a Senior IoT Services Manager to own end-to-end customer-facing project management, installer relationships, and IoT technical account management for their region. You'll be the primary point of contact for customers, sales, and installers during deployment — and the primary technical point of contact for device, fleet, and IoT solution health once customers are live, guiding them from installation through fleet-health optimization and ongoing device lifecycle support.

With locations in the hearts of London, ON and Chicago, IL, we offer you a flexible setup with the possibility to work from one of our locations or remotely from anywhere in North America. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

What’s in it for you?

• A place in an agile growth SaaS business, with possibilities to grow internally in the company. We are moving quickly, so fasten your seat belt and prepare to adjust. Back in 2020 we were 150 employees at Trackunit and we have just passed 450 employees.

• International environment with regular check-ins and social events across teams, departments and borders.

• We take your personal and professional development goals seriously and we support them through training, coaching and mindfulness as well as with an open feedback culture to enable you to identify your strengths and opportunities. We do this by touching upon your impact on our triple focus: impacting yourself, impacting teams/relations and impacting the organisation/strategy.

• Flexibility and hybrid working is not just a cliché to us or something we state in a job posting. We do offer you a flexible setup and believe that you best can structure how your routines look like. And once you have chosen how you work best, let us know what you need: we got you covered with the IT equipment you need for your work.

• Turning the Tide. At Trackunit, we aim to create and contribute to an inclusive workplace. And this priority starts with our hiring - we do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, sexual orientation, personal expression, ethnicity, religious belief, or disability status. We only assess candidates on their qualifications and merit. Learn more about TIDE and other DE&I initiatives here.

Who are you ideally?

• Experience in customer-facing project management, installation, or deployment operations.

• Technical account management or technical advisory experience in an IoT, telematics, or hardware environment.

• Working knowledge of device and firmware management (CAN, MODbus, firmware/FOTA, BLE sensors) sufficient to guide configuration, validation, and troubleshooting.

• Strong organizational skills — comfortable managing installer networks, billing, and multiple concurrent programs at once.

• Comfortable interpreting fleet-health and technical data to advise customers and benchmark performance against peer accounts.

• Skilled at building trusted relationships with both customer technical stakeholders and internal sales, account, and support/engineering teams.

Don't meet every single requirement? No worries - this is what we're looking for ideally, but if you're super excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply.

Primary responsibilities:

• Own project management and coordination for regional device and fleet installation and deployment programs, from work order intake through completion.

• Act as the primary point of contact between customers, sales, installers, and internal technical teams, ensuring installations are scoped, scheduled, and delivered on time and to standard.

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for IoT-scope customer accounts — guiding hardware, telematics, and IoT configuration from onboarding through ongoing fleet-health optimization.

• Own technical configuration work across CAN/Modbus profiles, firmware management (including FOTA), and device operating modes to keep customer fleets healthy and reporting accurately.

• Monitor fleet and device health, investigate non-reporting devices, and proactively identify and resolve risks before they affect customer operations.

• Partner with Key Account Directors and Customer Success Managers on technical discussions, solution positioning, and upsell opportunities.

• Own escalation management for installation, technical, and customer satisfaction issues, coordinating across Deployment Operations, Installer Network & Partner Ops, and Support/Engineering.

Our hiring process

Don't waste your time on writing the best possible cover letter for the job. We want you to create an impact that matters, and that's not in the cover letter.

• Virtual meet and greet. Meet with the Talent Acquisition Partner.

• A deeper conversation: We'll go into your experience and how you work, and you'll get a clearer picture of the team, the challenges, and what the role actually looks like day to day.

• Assignment-specific interview. We want you to get an insight into some of the concrete work tasks or projects related to the role. You will be given a case to prepare prior to the interview, and at the interview, you will present the case to relevant colleagues from across Trackunit, who you’ll also work closely with in the job.

• If needed, throughout the process we will obtain references from former employers and do background checks for level specific, if you have not provided these yourself.

• Offer presentation and walk-through. We’re lucky to have you!
