Senior iOS Frameworks Engineer - HealthKit

“I believe, if you zoom out into the future, and you look back, and you ask the question, ‘What was Appleʼs greatest contribution to mankind?ʼ it will be about health.” —Tim Cook, 2019.

We build the engine that powers every health or fitness application from Apple and our third party developers. We hear from our users that we are helping them live better, get stronger, remember to care for themselves, and even save their lives. Weʼre doing it while keeping their health data safe, accessible and private, and weʼre pushing the technology and health care industries to do the same. If you are looking for a role where you can use and develop your engineering acumen while changing the world for the better, then look no further!

We are looking for talented engineers to keep HealthKit – the very heart of everything related to health and fitness on Apple platforms – secure, efficient, and ever-growing. We work with hardware and software teams throughout Apple as well as our developer ecosystem to deliver ever more functionality that is deeply integrated with iOS, watchOS and all the rest without sacrificing privacy, power, or performance.

As a member of the team, youʼll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to expand the functionality of the Health app and HealthKit framework. We collaborate across Apple feature teams, hardware teams, domain experts like doctors and fitness experts, and our third party developer ecosystem. Our primary responsibilities are delivering new health and fitness features, designing solutions for distributed health data storage, performance, OS integration, and API design and delivery.
