As a full-stack developer you work hard on making better, faster and responsive. You don't do this alone, but always within one of our 9 (international) scrum teams. Our multidisciplinary teams consist of developers (front and back end), testers, designers and product owners. Together you tackle several major key projects and our ongoing migration to the cloud.
You can count on working with tools and techniques like C#, .NET 10, Angular 19 onwards, TypeScript (JavaScript), Nx and SASS. And after our migration to the cloud we're focusing on Azure, App Services en YAML pipelines.
Specifically:
You want to make a valuable contribution to the website – you contribute from your expertise, plan and execute own tasks, respect the 'Definition of Ready' and the 'Definition of Done'. You understand stakeholder and customer requirements.
You want to grow your expertise – we help by providing an environment where you are allowed to make mistakes, a personal growth budget, lots of freedom and colleagues you can learn from.
You strive for predictability & stability – you deliver reliable, high quality software. You bring working software to production while improving the way we work. The deliverables are aligned with our product strategy and seen from a customer perspective.
In addition to being a team player, you also like autonomy – you want to grow in your area of expertise, but understand the challenges faced by other areas of expertise and how different areas of expertise can best work together. Furthermore, you are curious about the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) aspects for your own area of expertise.
You are open to using AI tools in your daily work - and know how to apply them in a supportive and responsible way to improve efficiency, quality and collaboration, while always maintaining human ownership and final responsibility over the output.
You always go for an optimal customer experience (just like us) – and that with an impact of millions of visitors a year.
Why Independer?
Despite the fact that we belong in the list of the largest online platforms in the Netherlands (such as , coolblue and takeaway) Independer is still a relatively small club of around 250 specialists. This makes our culture flexible, open and lively. A flat hierarchy in which freedom and daring are central.
The technical environment that we offer is complex, challenging and constantly changing. We want the best (online) environment for both our customers and our colleagues. This means that the focus is on 'getting the latest and greatest tech'. We focus on .NET Core, Azure (DevOps) and Angular (19.0). And in case we missed anything, we look forward to your input!
The fact that we've been around for 25 years is thanks to our open, relaxed culture and our colleagues. True Independers think in terms of possibilities, dare to make mistakes and help each other. All that in an environment where you can play pool or darts in your breaks and where no one is surprised if you walk into our office in Hilversum in your shorts or flip-flops.
Some of your colleagues have been proud Independers for years and that is not without reason: Independer is constantly developing and you grow with us. That makes you the owner of your own career.
We can officially call ourselves a Great Place to Work. We received this title from our colleagues and Great Place to Work Netherlands. What does that mean? Our colleagues call it a fine organizational culture where they want to work with pleasure, trust and pride.
What we're looking for in a new colleague?
You're 5+ years active as a Fullstack Developer/ Software Engineer.

Furthermore, we find it important that you can teach us something and can enthusiastically tell us about other projects you've done.
