Senior Full Stack Software Engineer / シニア フルスタック ソフトウェアエンジニア

Strider Technologies delivers strategic intelligence that helps organizations make faster, more confident decisions in an increasingly complex global environment. Using cutting-edge AI and proprietary methodologies, we transform open-source data into actionable insights that help protect technology, talent, and supply chains from nation-state risks.

Strider is seeking a mission-driven Full Stack Software Engineer to deliver cutting-edge technical solutions in a dynamic global environment. You’ll work across two intersecting areas: building the intelligent data pipelines focused on the APAC region and collaborating with Strider’s global engineering team to create custom features that bring those capabilities to analysts and customers.

This role is a fit for someone who is energized by working close to AI systems, comfortable across a full stack of software development, and excited to solve complex problems in a collaborative, global team environment.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as Strider’s technical lead in Japan, provide critical market insights and collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and analysts to design and deliver scalable, well-crafted solutions.

• Build and own features across the full stack.

• Work with analysts, clients and business partners to create custom solutions using Strider’s proprietary data assets.

• Work with frontier model SDKs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and open-source frameworks to ship AI-powered features into production.

• Investigate and prototype solutions to complex system design challenges and translate findings into maintainable, production-ready code.

What You Need to Be Successful

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering

• Bilingual Japanese and English speaker

• Experience building full-stack applications

• Experience and agentic coding processes with LLMs or AI/ML systems in a production or project context

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks and APIs

• Strong problem-solving instincts, an ability to ask good questions, and a pragmatic approach to unforeseen challenges

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

• Experience with databases such as SQL Server, DynamoDB, or Memgraph, and search systems like ElasticSearch

• Experience with Material UI, Storybook, or unit testing frameworks

• Experience with project tracking tools like JIRA

How We Work

We own our work end-to-end. Engineers here don’t just write code — they help shape the problem, design the solution, and care about what happens after it ships. You’ll have genuine ownership over meaningful systems, not just tickets in a queue.

We build with rigor and move with purpose. We believe quality and velocity aren’t at odds. We lean into agentic engineering and AI coding tools to increase both.

We collaborate openly across disciplines. Our engineers work closely with product stakeholders and ML practitioners. Perspectives from across the org sharpen our thinking — you’ll both contribute to and learn from those conversations regularly.

We make space to go deep. Creative exploration is encouraged, not squeezed into the margins. We create time for engineers to invest in their craft — whether that’s a better evaluation framework, a new modeling approach, or internal tooling that raises the whole team’s ceiling.

We trust each other with the hard stuff. You’ll be working on problems where the answers aren’t obvious. We want people who are comfortable with ambiguity, willing to surface concerns early, and confident enough to push back when something doesn’t seem right.
