About Corgi
Corgi is vertically integrating the entire insurance industry. We design, underwrite, price, and issue insurance directly: no brokers, no third-party administrators. Insurance is the largest unautomated industry in financial services, and we're rebuilding it from the ground up using AI. We've raised $268M from Kindred, TCV, and others to do so.
Building something great requires working hard. We are in the office 6-7 days a week. We are meritocratic with very high standards. If you don't meet them, you'll get cut. But if you deliver, you have unlimited scope to grow.
We move quickly, care deeply about talent density, and hire people who want to solve difficult problems with unusually high ownership.
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the design and development of the systems that power our insurance companies and internal operations.
You will own large technical initiatives across underwriting, claims, finance, compliance, and internal tooling. You'll work directly with leadership, product, and operations teams to build software that eliminates manual work and enables the company to scale. This role is for someone who wants significant ownership, enjoys solving complex problems, and can independently drive projects from concept to production.
This role is based in our London office.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain critical internal and customer-facing software systems.
Lead the development of backend services, APIs, and scalable infrastructure.
Own major projects from architecture through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Work across the stack to rapidly ship products and features.
Partner closely with operations, finance, underwriting, and leadership teams to automate complex workflows.
Improve system reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
Make architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices.
Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team.
Help shape the future direction of our engineering organization.

Strong product and business intuition.
High ownership and relentless execution.
Able to balance speed with sound technical judgment.

Interested in building software that directly impacts how businesses operate.
Preferred Experience
5+ years of software engineering work experience.
Experienced in Typescript, Python, React, FastAPI, Django, Flask, and AWS.
Strong experience designing distributed systems and scalable applications.
Experience owning production systems and making architectural decisions.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases, and modern development practices.
Built significant personal, startup, or professional projects.
Experience in fintech, insurance, workflow automation, or other complex operational businesses is helpful but not required.
Why Join
Build foundational systems for a new kind of insurance company.
Own business-critical systems and technical decisions.
Work directly with senior leadership and core operators.
High ownership and visibility from day one.
Competitive compensation and meaningful equity.
Opportunity to help define how insurance infrastructure is built in the AI era.
