The Role

We’re looking for our first engineering hire beyond the technical cofounder, a mid to senior-level Full-Stack Engineer who thrives in early-stage environments.

This role is majority backend (scalable APIs, databases, integrations), with opportunities to shape parts of the frontend as we grow. You’ll have the chance to influence architecture decisions, set engineering best practices, and help us ship impactful features quickly while keeping long-term sustainability in mind.

As part of the founding team, you’ll work closely with the technical cofounder to bring Sociable’s vision to life and play a key role in shaping our culture, product, and technology.

What you need to succeed

• Strong proficiency with Node.js/Express, relational databases (MySQL/Postgres), and API design.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React/React Native, Next.js, Vite).
• Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, Elastic Beanstalk, or similar).
• Understanding of system security, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and shape early-stage processes.
• Excited by startups, community-focused products, and building from the ground up.
