Why This Organisation

Our client is a world leading provider of financial markets infrastructure, operating at the heart of global financial and commodities markets from more than 60 offices across 27 countries. With over 5,300 people globally, their engineering teams build and maintain the technology that underpins price discovery, liquidity and data distribution at enormous scale. Self organising, cross functional Agile teams, a genuine focus on cloud native architecture and automation, and a culture built around continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

This is a company that is genuinely investing in Belfast. They have hired 12 engineers here already this year and to support that growth they have moved into a brand new office in Belfast city centre, purpose built to house the expanding team and give engineers the environment they need to do their best work. The Belfast team is not a satellite office doing maintenance work. It is a core part of a global engineering organisation tackling complex, large scale problems with modern technology and real autonomy.

This particular role sits within a brand new team building a next generation platform in direct partnership with Amazon Web Services. You would be working alongside AWS engineers, learning from some of the best technical minds in the industry, on a greenfield build at global scale. If you are a senior engineer who wants to work at the intersection of world class technology and global financial markets, this is worth exploring.

The Role and What It Can Do For Your Career

This is a Senior Full Stack Engineer position within a newly formed team tasked with building the next generation of a flagship trading platform in partnership with Amazon Web Services. You will take full ownership of your work across design, development, testing and deployment, working closely with Principal Engineers, Architects and Leads to ensure successful delivery into production environments. Beyond delivery, you will drive engineering improvements, contribute to system architecture conversations and mentor junior members of the team.

The career value is clear. You will be working on a greenfield platform build at global scale, directly alongside AWS engineers, on systems that underpin global financial markets. That combination of technical depth, domain complexity and AWS partnership is genuinely rare and builds a CV that travels.

• Evolve systems towards target state architecture through refactoring and prioritisation of deliveries
• Work closely with Principal Engineers, Architects and Leads to ensure successful deployment into production
• Mentor junior members of the team and demonstrate strong technical competencies
