Senior Full Stack Engineer - Java/Angular
Location: UK - Fully Remote
Salary: Up to £85,000
Type: Permanent
I'm looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing product-focused technology organisation, working on high-scale applications within a modern AWS cloud environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys getting stuck into complex technical challenges, but who can also lead from the front - influencing technical direction, supporting other engineers and taking ownership of delivering high-quality products.
The Role
You'll work across the full technology stack, developing and evolving highly scalable applications used within a large-scale cloud environment.
You'll be involved in everything from designing and building new functionality through to improving existing services, solving complex technical problems and helping shape engineering standards and practices.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable being a technical leader without necessarily needing a formal management title - someone who can set the standard, make sound technical decisions and bring others with them.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Java development
- Strong TypeScript experience
- Excellent Angular development experience
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
- Significant experience working with AWS
- Experience developing within large-scale cloud environments
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
- Experience designing and building scalable, resilient applications
- Comfortable working across both Front End and Back End development
- Able to take technical ownership and drive projects forward
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in engineers who have progressed beyond simply delivering tickets and want to have a genuine impact on the products and technology they work with.
You should be someone who:
- Leads by example and remains hands-on
- Enjoys solving complex technical problems
- Can make pragmatic architectural and engineering decisions
- Takes ownership rather than waiting to be directed
- Enjoys working in a product-led environment
- Is comfortable challenging ideas and contributing to technical strategy
- Can support and develop less experienced engineers
What's on Offer
- Up to £85,000 salary
- Fully remote anywhere in the UK
- Permanent position
- Opportunity to work within a large-scale AWS environment
- Significant technical ownership and influence
- A product-focused engineering culture
- The opportunity to help shape both the technology and the way the engineering team operates
