Senior Full Stack Engineer

At CameraForensics, we build technology that makes a real difference. Our software supports law enforcement and government agencies around the world to help protect vulnerable children online. We work alongside partners who share our values, driven by a common goal to create safer digital spaces.

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our small, technically focused team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute across our platform, from front-end user experiences to robust back-end services. You’ll be building products that support investigations into online crimes, enabling investigators to safeguard those most at risk.

Our team is based in Bristol, UK, but we work flexibly with a combination of office and remote working. There are also opportunities to travel globally, attending conferences and hackathons with law enforcement partners focused on tackling Crimes Against Children.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support our mission.

Example tasks include:

• Building and maintaining modern, cloud-based applications that power our mission.
• Developing scalable and secure back-end services (we primarily use Java and Spring Boot).
• Collaborating closely with the team in an Agile environment, sharing knowledge and ideas.
• Writing well-tested, maintainable code, and contributing to a culture of engineering excellence.
• Helping shape our technical direction and mentoring others as we grow.

The tools and technologies we use

• Java, Spring Boot
• AWS (we make use of a range of cloud services)
• NoSQL databases

This list is not exhaustive. We’re always open to new tools and approaches that can improve our work.

What we offer

• The chance to work on projects that have a real-world impact.
• Opportunities to shape our products and processes.
• A supportive, collaborative environment where your development is valued.
• Flexible working arrangements to suit your life.
• £60-90k salary based on experience.
• A relaxed office space in Bristol, with weekly cake and Friday drinks.

We know that not everyone works the same way. If full-time (37.5 hours) doesn’t suit you, let’s talk about what might work better. Many of our team work reduced hours, and we’re happy to find a setup that suits you.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. If our work resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.
