We’re working with an established consumer digital business, and they’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to build and scale modern web applications across backend services, APIs and front-end interfaces, and to help set the technical direction.
You’ll own complex features end-to-end — from architecture and development through deployment, monitoring and production reliability — and mentor the engineers around you.
What you’ll do Design and scale backend services in Node.js and Type Script, building REST and event-driven APIs Work within a modular, domain-driven architecture and lead integration with third-party and internal systems Develop polished, user-facing features in React (Next.js a plus) Own features across development, testing, deployment and monitoring, and drive production reliability Debug complex production issues using logs and observability tooling Contribute to architecture decisions and mentor intermediate and junior engineers What you’ll bring 6+ years’ software development experience Strong Type Script and Node.js, with deep REST / event-driven API experience Frameworks such as Fastify, Express or Nest JS, and solid async and API design React, with strong HTML, CSS and component-based UI fundamentals Relational databases (Postgre SQL or similar) and sound data modelling Solid cloud experience (AWS, GCP or Azure), CI/CD and containerisation (Docker) Testing with Jest or Vitest, and strong Git practices Advantageous Event-driven or real-time systems, observability tooling, and high-scale, high-traffic environments Working modelIn office with flexitime, based in Cape Town or Johannesburg. #J-18808-Ljbffr
