Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer on behalf of our client, one of the fastest-growing voice AI startups in the world.

About the Company

Our client is one of the fastest-growing voice AI startups in the world, transforming how businesses manage customer interactions through cutting-edge conversational AI.

Backed by leading venture capital investors, including Y Combinator, the company has experienced exceptional growth, reaching over $60M in annual recurring revenue with a team of around 40 employees. Its AI-powered platform is already trusted by thousands of companies to automate sales, customer support, and operational workflows.

The company's mission is to redefine the future of customer experience by building an AI-first contact center platform, where intelligent AI agents can handle customer conversations, monitor quality, and continuously improve interactions with minimal human intervention.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly scaling, high-performing engineering team, work on challenging technical problems, and make a significant impact on a product used by businesses worldwide.

We're seeking an engineer with 3–5 years of frontend development experience to join a small, high-ownership team working directly with the CTO. In this role, you'll build the user experiences that power the company's voice automation platform, including dashboards, analytics, and customer-facing tools.

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact at a rapidly growing AI company while working with cutting-edge voice technology.

What will you be doing?

• Building and shipping React-heavy frontend features end-to-end (prompt management, dashboards, analytics)
• Writing production-grade React and TypeScript code — without relying on AI assistance
• Collaborating with backend and full-stack engineers on a team of ~7 frontend-focused developers
• Working directly with customers to onboard, debug, and turn feedback into UX improvements
• Owning frontend architecture decisions and iterating rapidly in a fast-paced startup environment

Role Requirements

• Senior Front End Engineer role, focused heavily on React.
• Expert-level React skills required; hands-on React coding in interviews.

Candidate Requirements

• Ideal experience range is 3-5 years, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
• Must have a CS degree; preference for candidates from top universities or with top tech company experience.

The offering

• Salary range of $200k to $300k, plus competitive equity.
• Work arrangement is hybrid: Monday to Friday in-office, Sundays remote but mandatory.
• Open to visa sponsorship (H-1B, TN, L-1, E-3, F-1 OPT/CPT, O-1)
• 100% medical/dental/vision coverage, $70/day DoorDash credit, and $200/month wellness reimbursement.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Initial screening.

• CV Screening: Your application will be reviewed within 24 hours of submission.
• A short Q/A session: to assess your experience and technical background. You can choose between: automated Q/A session (recommended for faster feedback) or Recruiter interview. Candidates whose experience best matches the role will be shortlisted and presented to the hiring manager.

Stage 2: Intro Call (15-20 min) (20 minutes) with the hiring manqger. Connect with the talent team to get a deeper look at the team and the work you'd be doing. This is an initial screening conversation to assess mutual fit and provide an overview of the role.

Stage 3: First Technical Phone Interview (45 min) (45 minutes). Practical coding session focused on code fluency and system design. For this frontend role, the interview will focus on React-specific questions. Conducted by a member of the engineering team.

Stage 4: Second Technical Phone Interview (45 min) (45 minutes). Practical coding session focused on code fluency with a heavier emphasis on systems design approach. Conducted by a member of the engineering team.

Stage 5: Onsite/Virtual Interviews (2-3 hrs) (3 hours). Hosted in the office if located in the Bay Area or conducted virtually. Consists of three rounds: (1) Practical Coding tackle real-world coding tasks with debugging, (2) System Design architect a production-ready system, and (3) Tools & Automation build automations or improve workflows in any basic environment setup like Python, Java, Node.js, etc.

Additional Information

• We recommend completing the Automated Q/A Session during the pre-screening stage, as it typically allows us to provide feedback more quickly.
• Candidates who prefer a traditional approach may instead complete the pre-screening with one of our recruiters.
• We aim to keep candidates informed throughout the process and provide updates after each completed stage.
