Senior Fintech Engineer at Wedded Wonderland | Jobyssey

This is a remote position.

Tech Stack: Node.js/Go, React, AWS/GCP, Stripe Connect/Airwallex, PostgreSQL, Event-Driven Architecture.

The Mission

Wedded Wonderland is the world’s leading luxury wedding and life-milestone platform. We are currently moving from a "Media & Content" model to a "Transaction & Infrastructure" model. We are building the Wonderland Life OS—the financial engine for the $1.5T global luxury milestone economy.

As our Senior Fintech Engineer, you will be the lead architect of Wonderland Pay. This is not a "maintenance" role; you are building the first-ever global payment gateway specifically designed for high-ticket ($100k+), multi-vendor, cross-border luxury celebrations.

The Core Challenge

Luxury celebrations involve high-stakes financial friction: international venue deposits, complex escrow requirements for 18-month planning cycles, and multi-currency vendor payouts. You will build the technical rails that solve these "trust gaps," ensuring that a million-dollar event is as easy to pay for as a cup of coffee.

Key Responsibilities

* Architect & Build: Own the end-to-end development of the Wonderland Payment Gateway. Integrate tier-1 APIs (Stripe Connect, Airwallex) to manage complex global fund flows.

* Escrow & Ledger Logic: Build a robust, milestone-based escrow system to manage long planning cycles, ensuring secure fund holding and automated vendor disbursements.

* B2B SaaS Infrastructure: Engineer the financial backend for our Vendor Pro-Suite, enabling thousands of luxury businesses to manage cross-border invoicing and instant FX settlements.

* Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain bank-grade security protocols (PCI-DSS, SOC2) and automated KYC/AML workflows that feel "invisible" to the luxury end-user.

* Scale & Reliability: Ensure 99.99% uptime for high-value transactions. Optimize system performance for "flash-sale" events (like Wedded Week).

Technical Requirements

* Proven Fintech Experience: 5+ years of software engineering, with a significant background at a leading fintech (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Airwallex, Checkout.com, or similar).

* The "Stack": Advanced proficiency in Node.js, Go, or Python and experience building scalable Microservices.

* Payment Protocols: Deep technical knowledge of Ledgering, Card Issuing, 3D Secure 2.0, and Cross-Border Treasury.

* Database Mastery: Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar, specifically in managing highly consistent financial records.

* Builder Mindset: You enjoy being "first on the ground." You can move from high-level architecture to "hands-on-keyboard" execution in the same afternoon.

Why Join our team?

* The Moat: We already have the audience (2M+ members). You are building for a platform that already has global demand.

* The Vision: You’re disrupting an archaic $300B wedding industry and expanding into a $1.5T lifestyle market.

* Technical Ownership: You won't just be a cog in a machine; you will define the standards for how luxury payments are handled globally.
