• You contribute to the monthly reporting prepared for the executive team and board of directors, and you ensure the integrity of every deliverable within established deadlines.

• You respond to ad hoc requests from managers and work directly with the business on select projects.

• You present findings to stakeholders and influence decisions through clear, well-supported analysis, without relying on formal authority.

• You contribute to optimizing the processes related to SOVRA's financial systems.

What will you bring to this role?

• FP&A track record — you have 5+ years in FP&A or a comparable finance function as a financial analyst, or in financial consulting, such as at a Big Four firm, delivering modeling and analytics.

• Forecasting and variance analysis — you build forward-looking models for P&L, cash flow, or SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, and LTV, including rolling forecasts, and you run variance analyses and post-mortems.

• Advanced Excel and Office skills — you work at an advanced level in Excel, beyond pivot tables and vlookup, you can perform functions such as index-match, ingest multiple data sources, and create advanced analytical formulas. You are proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What are the assets that would make you stand out?

• Applied AI in FP&A — you have practical experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and generate insights in FP&A work.

You should apply if

• You want your analysis to inform decisions made by SOVRA's executive team and board of directors.

• You are drawn to the steady rhythm of the monthly and quarterly cycle, where rigor and consistency build trust in the numbers.

• You want your finance work to support a company whose technology helps public agencies stretch taxpayer dollars further.

What we look for in applications

We review every application individually and assess it on its own merits rather than screening for keywords. The most impactful applications:

• Describe the models, forecasts, and reports you built or owned, who relied on them, and the outcome, with numbers wherever you have them.

• When you name a tool, such as Excel or an AI tool, add a brief note on what you used it to do. Providing more than a list of systems and tools

• Specific detail about your own work tells us far more than a general summary of responsibilities.

Our interview process

Our process is designed to be thorough while respecting your time. Three conversations cover the substance of the role and how you would work with the team.

1. Conversation with a member of the Talent Acquisition team

2. Conversation with team members

3. Conversation with the CFO
