Senior embedded software engineer based in Harrogate, UK, designing, developing and optimizing embedded applications across embedded and Linux-based platforms. Core stack is C/C++ on embedded systems plus communication protocols (RS232, I2C, TCP/IP, USB), with Java, Yocto/Buildroot and Linux kernel work desirable.
Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for a candidate with solid, hands-on experience in embedded systems. Strong skills in C or C++ within embedded environments are essential, as well as knowledge of communication protocols including RS232, I2C, TCP/IP, and USB. You should possess strong analytical problem-solving abilities and have the capacity to stay focused and effective under pressure.
- Desirable qualifications include experience developing on Ubuntu and Windows environments, familiarity with Yocto or Buildroot, Java development experience, and an understanding of Linux kernel configuration. Experience in developing Java OpenJDK on embedded Linux platforms would also be beneficial.
