Digital Designer (Brand/UI/UX)

Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) is a branding business, founded in 1990 and proudly independent ever since.

We started out in the world of packaging, but now we’re worldwide - from three founders, to more than 300 of us across the UK and USA. Together, we build and deliver brands across the entire consumer experience.

But even more important than what we do, is why we do it. We’re here to inspire brands and people to be their true selves. To be brave.

Be tenacious.

]And above all, be yourself.

Because we believe that’s the only way to truly be distinctive, everywhere.

We are looking for a Digital Designer (Brand/UI) to join our busy team, working as part of our 170 person strong London studio.

Requirements

At JKR, we believe that brands have the power to create distinctive digital impact. Our Digital design capability sits at the heart of this belief - designing experiences that are both user-first and brand-led, from start-ups to global giants. We’re now looking for a Digital Designer to join our team and help shape the next generation of digital experiences.

Why this role?

This is a hands-on design role where you’ll own and guide projects through every stage from discovery to delivery. You’ll craft experiences that are strategically smart, beautifully distinctive, and right for both the user and the brand. You’ll also play a key role in shaping our digital team, mentoring others, and inspiring clients along the way.

What you’ll do:

• Balance user needs with brand storytelling.
• Design distinctive UI systems that translate brand identities into digital interfaces, bringing them to life with interaction, motion, and detail.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with strategists, creatives, developers, and clients to deliver seamless, innovative outcomes.
• Shape experiences end-to-end: from research, audits, personas, and user journeys through to wireframes, prototypes, and final UI design.
• Inspire and mentor designers, sharing knowledge and elevating the team’s digital craft..

What you’ll bring:

• Experience as a Digital Designer (agency or product background) with a strong portfolio spanning multiple platforms demonstrating your brand thinking and crafted executions..
• Clearly show your discovery phases and how they informed the direction you took a brand in digitally.
• An eye for UI craft: distinctive digital design, interaction, design systems, templating, and atomic design.
• Comfort with Figma, FigJam, Miro and other collaboration tools.
• Experience with motion and animation tools (e.g. After Effects, Jitter) to enhance user experiences preferred.

What we value

Creativity that blends strategy, craft, and innovation.

A collaborative spirit — someone who slots into teams effortlessly.

Leadership by example: integrity, openness, and an ability to inspire.

A passion for pushing the boundaries of brand-driven digital design.

Our Commitment to Leadership & Inclusion:

We believe leadership isn’t tied to seniority - it’s about mindset. We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, compassion, and confidence to the role. We’re committed to building an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace that reflects the society we live in and the audiences we create for.
