Job Description

At SPARK TSL, our mission is simple: making life better, with connections that matter.

We build technology solutions that operate in regulated, real-world environments where reliability, security, and quality genuinely matter — not just to our customers, but to the people who depend on our systems every day.

We’re now looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us at a critical point in the evolution of our technology platform. As our development strategy shifts towards an AI-centric way of working and delivery velocity increases, the infrastructure that builds, tests, and ships our software has to evolve alongside it. This is a hands-on, senior role with real ownership of how we deliver — with AWS at the centre of everything you’ll build.

This position is based at our Eindhoven office, with the flexibility of remote working.

Why this role?

This role sits at the heart of how SPARK TSL designs, modernises, and scales its platforms across healthcare, industrial, and public venue markets. You’ll own the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud environments — predominantly AWS — that everything else depends on.

You’ll be joining as our engineering approach becomes genuinely AI-native. The focus isn’t on bolting AI on as a gimmick, but on thoughtfully embedding automation and intelligent tooling across the delivery lifecycle to improve speed, quality, and reliability. If you enjoy removing friction, eliminating manual toil, and building the systems that let a whole engineering organisation move faster with confidence, this is that role.

Why SPARK TSL?

People join SPARK TSL because they want:

• Purpose and impact — Technology that supports critical services and improves lives
• Platform evolution — The chance to shape a next-generation platform while modernising a live product
• Ownership and trust — A senior role empowered to set technical direction and build capability
• A seat at the table — Direct exposure to engineering leadership and strategic decision-making
• Technical breadth — Spanning AWS cloud, hybrid on-premises/edge, containers, IaC, observability, and AI-assisted DevOps
• AWS at the centre — A genuine opportunity to deepen and apply your AWS expertise at scale
• A supportive, high-performance culture — Grounded in professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement

The impact you’ll have

You’ll help ensure that SPARK TSL’s delivery infrastructure:

• Runs efficient, secure, and scalable CI/CD pipelines across every environment
• Provisions and manages AWS cloud and hybrid infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code
• Embeds automated testing, security scanning, and monitoring throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Uses AI-assisted tooling to predict failures, optimise pipelines, and shorten release cycles
• Keeps customer-critical systems resilient, observable, and compliant
• Establishes clear DevOps metrics — deployment frequency, lead time for changes, and mean time to recovery — and drives measurable improvement

Your work will directly support the rollout of complex solutions that combine software, hardware, and cloud/on-premises systems across healthcare and industrial environments — including integrations such as HL7, WebRTC, and building automation protocols.

Who this role suits

This role will suit someone who:

• Has strong, hands-on AWS expertise and a solid grounding in cloud architecture
• Brings significant experience in DevOps engineering, with real depth in automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure
• Is fluent with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi or similar) and containerisation/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• Is confident scripting and automating (Python, Bash, PowerShell or Go)
• Has worked with hybrid cloud/on-premises architectures, ideally in regulated or high-availability domains
• Is curious about AI-assisted DevOps and eager to apply it in practice
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside Development, QA, and Operations
• Combines technical depth with calm, analytical problem-solving

Experience with healthcare or industrial integration protocols (HL7, MQTT, BACnet) is a plus.

Location & working

Based at our Eindhoven office, with the flexibility of remote working. Occasional on-site presence supports close collaboration with the wider engineering team and access to full solution configurations.

What we offer

A competitive salary depending on experience, alongside the opportunity to shape delivery infrastructure at a pivotal moment in our platform’s evolution.
