Responsibilities
You will own and evolve the infrastructure that powers Utila's platform, from cloud architecture and Infrastructure-as-Code to CI/CD, observability, and the security posture of our production systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on GCP and AWS, using Pulumi (IaC), with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, enabling fast, safe, and auditable delivery for our backend services.
- Partner closely with the backend team on Go development tasks, from infrastructure-adjacent services and tooling to production-readiness improvements in core services.
- Operate and evolve our Kubernetes environments, networking, and secrets management, ensuring high availability and strong sensitive data isolation.
- Drive our monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices, and continuously raise the bar on observability across the stack.
- Embed security best practices into our infrastructure and delivery pipelines, IAM, network policies, secret handling, and compliance-aligned controls.
- Collaborate on architectural and technological decisions, participate in design and code reviews, and help shape engineering standards across the team.
