We’re looking for a
Senior DevOps Engineer who wants genuine ownership and the opportunity to help modernise a growing cloud environment.
You’ll join a
small internal technology team within a highly regulated organisation, helping move the environment away from manual infrastructure management towards
AWS, Terraform, automation and Infrastructure as Code.
The Opportunity You’ll work end-to-end across
AWS engineering, architecture, security, governance and automation, with the opportunity to influence how the platform evolves.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing and building AWS infrastructure using Terraform
- Evolving AWS Landing Zones and multi-account environments
- Moving infrastructure from ClickOps → Infrastructure as Code
- Building reusable Terraform patterns, standards and guardrails
- Working across cloud networking, IAM, security and governance
- Automating infrastructure delivery through GitHub Enterprise / CI/CD
- Supporting Azure and progressively bringing infrastructure into IaC
- Working closely with Data & AI teams on new AWS capabilities
- Using modern AI-assisted engineering tooling to improve automation
- Helping bring greater cloud capability and ownership in-house
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on AWS engineering
- Advanced Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- AWS Landing Zones or equivalent
- Strong cloud architecture, networking, IAM and security knowledge
- Git and CI/CD experience
- Exposure to Azure
- Experience modernising manual or legacy cloud environments
- Strong troubleshooting and production support skills
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- A proactive mindset and willingness to challenge and improve existing approaches
Experience within a
highly regulated environment would be beneficial but isn't essential.
Why Join? You’ll have considerably more ownership than you typically would within a large enterprise environment.
You’ll help transform a legacy/manual environment into a
modern, automated AWS platform, while remaining hands-on and contributing to a growing
AWS, Data & AI and automation roadmap.
Location: Sydney CBD
Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office
Process: Two-stage interview
If you’re an AWS Platform Engineer who enjoys building, improving and owning, rather than simply maintaining what’s already there, I’d love to hear from you. If you have any questions about this role or others we have available, you can email Hayley directly via [email protected]
