Senior Developer

Build technology that moves business forward.

At PEP Transport, technology is an important part of how we connect people, processes and transport solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join our team in Brisbane and play a key role in developing, improving and supporting the technology solutions that underpin our business.

Working closely with the CTO, development team and business stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, solve complex problems and help shape practical technology solutions that deliver real business outcomes.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands on, takes pride in quality development and wants to see their work make a measurable difference.

The Business You'll Be Supporting

About PEP Transport

PEP Transport is a transport and logistics business focused on delivering reliable, efficient and customer-focused solutions across the supply chain.

Our people are at the centre of our success. We believe that great outcomes come from people who take ownership, communicate well, work together and are always looking for ways to improve.

Our core values are:

Respect | Integrity | Driver | Proactive | Communication | Professionalism

These values are more than words. They influence how we work with our colleagues, customers, drivers, contractors and partners — and the standards we hold ourselves to every day.

Your ability to understand how a business operates — not just how the technology works — will be highly valued.

What You'll Do

You will be involved across the full development lifecycle, from understanding the business problem through to designing, developing, testing and implementing the solution.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain applications across web, desktop and mobile environments.

• Contribute to software architecture, database design and technical solution design.

• Investigate complex technical and business problems and develop effective solutions.

• Work across existing systems as well as new development projects.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Support testing, deployment and ongoing system reliability..

• Work with the CTO to deliver key technology initiatives and projects.

• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver projects within agreed timeframes.

• Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and improve business processes.

• Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced team members.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for an experienced developer who can operate with a high degree of autonomy and take ownership of their work.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience as a Senior Developer, Senior Software Engineer or similar.

• Strong knowledge of software development principles and methodologies.

• Experience with database design, development and optimisation.

• Experience working across web, desktop and/or mobile platforms.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

• The ability to work through complex problems and develop practical solutions.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• The ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A proactive approach to identifying problems and opportunities.

• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Who You Are

You are someone who:

• Takes ownership from problem through to solution.

• Asks questions and understands the why, not just the what.

• Is proactive in identifying issues before they become bigger problems.

• Enjoys finding better and more efficient ways of working.

• Can communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical people.

• Is comfortable challenging existing approaches when there is a better way.

• Takes pride in producing reliable, maintainable and well-designed solutions.

• Enjoys working in an environment where you can have a genuine influence.

Why PEP Transport?

You'll be joining a business where your work has a visible impact.

You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the CTO and key stakeholders, gain exposure to complex operational challenges and develop technology solutions that genuinely support the business.

You'll also have the opportunity to:

• Take ownership of meaningful technology projects.

• Work across a diverse and evolving technology environment.

• Develop your knowledge of transport and supply-chain operations.

• Influence how technology solutions are designed and delivered.

• Work closely with both technical and operational teams.

• Contribute ideas and improvements rather than simply following a process.

• Continue developing your technical and business capability.

If you're an experienced developer looking for a role where you can build, solve, improve and make an impact, we'd like to hear from you.
