We understand the needs of government and private operators to maintain, upgrade and provide new transportation services and supporting infrastructure. Our design solutions are purpose-driven to build better, more efficient and environmentally friendly transportation nodes that incorporate flexibility for future system expansion.Learn more about our Transportation Portfolio.As a Designer, you will work with other members of the design team in order to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project.You Will Make an Impact ByCompiling information from reports and published documents; evaluating and analyzing the information to understand broad requirements of projectDeveloping architectural designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirementsCoordinating design intent with other disciplinesIntegrating engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirementsPreparing design reports, drawings and models following office standardsPerforming site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies any deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely mannerReviewing project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controlsYou Will Bring to the TeamExperience in all phases of the project cycle is requiredArchitectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design softwareFamiliarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is requiredHave successfully completed related post-secondary educationRegistered with a relevant professional architectural association is an asset10+ years of project work experienceExperience in Transportation projects - Aviation and Transit experience is an assetExperience with Airport Authorities, TTC, Metrolinx, etc is an assetExperience with hangars, airport terminals, parking garages, transit stations is an assetWe are:The spaces we design and the technology we embrace shape how people live, work, learn, and connect. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
