A freelance Senior Designer leads concept development and visual design for healthcare campaigns, patient-facing digital/mobile experiences, and print assets (e.g., billboards, packaging) at a weight-management startup (Juniper) under Hims & Hers. Core tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and user-centred design principles.
About Eucalyptus
We're on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We're here to build better long-term care.
Eucalyptus is now part of Hims & Hers, the global leader in personalised health and wellness.
Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times.
Our Growth Story:
- Supporting patients living with obesity across our 5 markets
- Received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS
- Tailored our offering to thousands of patients in Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada.
About the role (What you'll be doing)
We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Designer to join us on a freelance basis.
- Lead design for our digital healthcare brands and capabilities, working across product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders.
- Drive high-quality execution across email, mobile apps and web, ensuring our products are accessible, scalable, and delightful.
- Contribute to growing the team by modeling what excellent design looks like and providing thoughtful feedback.
- Rapidly iterate on designs, collaborating with the Engineers to support evolving requirements from problem-identification through to product release.
- Turn complexity into clarity - bring delight and value to our customers, not just what is asked for.
About you (Who you are)
- You’re an experienced product designer (3-5+ years) with a track record of leading design on complex, high-stakes initiatives.
- You’re a craft leader: detail-oriented, thoughtful, and rigorous in how you explore, validate, and execute design solutions.
- You’re a strong collaborator, with experience pairing closely with PMs, engineers, content designers, and stakeholders across disciplines.
- You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, bringing clarity to fuzzy problems, and driving alignment with velocity.
- You take initiative and ownership, while remaining flexible.
- You are adaptable and pragmatic. You stay focused on the task at hand and can deliver quality solutions within existing constraints.
- You make effective decisions with the bigger picture and opportunity costs in mind.
- You have a strong understanding of design processes, and know when to, and when not to, implement them
