Senior Data Scientist
Role purpose: Lead the design, development, and deployment of data-driven solutions that improve decision-making, product performance, and business outcomes through advanced analytics and machine learning. Core responsibilities - Build, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and machine learning techniques. - Translate business problems into measurable analytical objectives, experiment designs, and success metrics. - Develop scalable data pipelines and feature engineering workflows in collaboration with data engineering. - Perform exploratory data analysis, data quality assessment, and root-cause investigations. - Communicate insights and model results to technical and non-technical stakeholders using clear narratives and visualizations. - Monitor model performance, manage drift, and iterate using A/B testing and continuous improvement practices. - Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices for reproducible, well-documented analytics. Required skills and qualifications - Strong proficiency in Python or R , including common ML and data libraries. - Expertise in statistics , machine learning , and model evaluation. - Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets and data warehouses. - Experience with experimentation, causal inference, and KPI-driven analysis. - Ability to productionize models and collaborate on MLOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, monitoring). - Excellent stakeholder management, problem framing, and written/verbal communication.
